@sammie1918 im trying to keep an open mind, but other than her and russel crowe, the casting is perfect. Aaron tveit (perfect human), Anne HAthaway, Helena Bonham carter, amanda seyfried, sasha baron cohen. perfect casting.
@951blossom Of course it is! You've obviously never heard him talk (in a film other than x-men) if that's the case. Can't say lip synching is something they do all that much on broadway ;-p
@IHeartKatieLee This is not actually live, but filmed on a sound stage after the production had finished its run. It's made to emulate the experience of live theater, and does a great job I think!
Hugh Jackman is Australian. He was on Broadway in The Boy From Oz. He also did a lot of musicals in Australia. This scene sounds great, but the set is so odd. It looks like it in the middle of the Dust Bowl during the Depression, instead of the green corn fields of Oklahoma.
Don't know where they are at this point, but they are talking about moving to the great new state of Oklhaoma (which, I'm guessing, at this point in time would not have had a whole lot of corn fields, green or otherwise)
Did you see him at last night's TONY'S??? He's so handsome and talented.....loved his bit with Neil Patrick Harris...got to be pretty talented to be on the live stage with NPH.......
