  • I keep on hitting my finger on the copper things and I cut myself a few times.

  • did you install a lawnmower in your pc?

  • hab den auch wenn mann den einbaut ist das teil arsch laut musste mir eine lüfter steuerung kaufen :D um das teil leise zu bekommen

  • its quite noise...

  • Will this work on amd phenom II x4 955?

  • @Ladigj I'm a bit late, but yes it will. I have the 955 and this heat sink in a Antec 900, all on a Ga-ma790xt-ud4p. With the chip at stock clocks and voltage my maximum load temps are 48c at low fan and 45c on high fan. I undervolted to 1.225V and it is now 5-6c degrees colder for both.

    I'm happy with it.

  • @Ladigj It works fine for me ;) 37-40C idle and 55-60C heavy load (never beyond 61C since this upgrade) and ambient is around 30-33C

Im using a AMD X4 955 without "cool n quiet" enabled and ddr3-1600 Memory

  • is artic sliver 5 the best for this cpu fan?

  • Am I wrong, or its very dusty?

  • This cooler is louder then a starting f-14 tomcat when startup the computer. It sucks!!!

  • Will this cooler cool down my phenom 2 955 @ 3,7 ghz ?

  • I think so, its amazing

  • @187Homie187 LOL you bought AMD

  • is this louder than the stock core i7 cooler?

  • this fan blow air towards the cpu or blow air out?

  • do you know how a heatsink works? the heat basically gets the pipes hot and the fins...then the fan cools them

  • the fan cools down the copper and fins that are transferred from the cpu then out the cooler and into the exhaust fan

  • will this fit a i7-920?

  • Sockets: 754, 775, 939, 940, 1156, 1366, AM2, AM2+, AM3

  • @wegmisbruikers1993 Please don't forget the poor socket 478!

  • this fan keeps my CPU at room temp. if I don't OC it, this thing is amazing.

  • Cool vid, I have that exact same heatsink.

  • does this or the 9900 work in the nzxt Tempest????

  • yes this works in tempest i have a nzxt tempest case

my sort a build first time:P

    1TB hard drive [ Hitachi ]..

OCZ REAPER 4gig ram dual channel PC2-6400 800mhz.

ATI Radeon, XFX HD 4870 XXX Edition 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Graphics Card.

intel core 2 quad chip Q9400 ..oc to 2.8 Asus P5Q-SE2 mother board.

    PSU 900 watts.

Zalman CNPS9500A-LED Aero Flower Socket 478/775/AM2/754/939/940 CPU cooler.

  • does this fan work on a core 2 duo E8400 cpu and does it fit on a ASUS P5KPL/1600 Motherboard, help plz

  • yes it will i have e8400 this cooler even supports i7 and quad cores

  • will the zalman work on am2+ ???? plz help

  • yeh it will its universal

  • I ordered this today and maybe I would have thought twice before ordering if I knew how big these things are! Iol

  • why all new fans containing LED? is it just the look or something else?

  • yup i got that cooler

  • Does my cpu work better if i put my CNPS9700 to full speed?

  • no it only gets cooler which comes in handy when you're overclocking

  • @airsoftfin Yes.

  • I have that fan too :D

  • i got mine on ebay used, and the led on the fan doesnt completely work :/ any one noe where io can find a replacement for it?

  • getting mine on friday woot

  • order this yeasterday cant whait for wednesday wen i get to put that fuckr in :P

  • ok thank you Speedy187666, it will fit in cuz I've got a Thermaltake Armor+ ;-)

  • does that cpu cooler fit on a 780i board ?

  • well, yes it does fit inside an 780i board but the real problem is the case itself because this thing is HUGE lol

  • What cpu do u use? nad what are the temps and clocks? thanks

  • i use an e5200 @ 3.5ghz stable for 24 7 use and right now since i don't have my window open and it's kind of warm in here, my cpu is running @ 22 C but usually when i open the window it gets down to like 12C or lower if it's really cold outside but usually around 19C is what i always see when i'm just using the desktop and not playing :D

  • My Q9400 @ 2.66ghz at idle is at 50 on idle and 100 on games like CoD4 stock cooler btw. Im currently thinking of getting the Hyper TX2 from Cooler Master. If you got any other brands let me know. Thanks.

  • ordered this on friday...cant wait!!...bought some MX-2 paste cuz i wasnt sure if this had any or if it was even any good :D

  • it sounds loud.. is it?

  • lol at 0:13 when the camera bumps into the fan and the whole thing explodes along with the whole entire world bursting into flames and sparks and explosions and then everyone just drifts off into space and starts a new civilization on mars

    o_O

  • lol, yea i saw that too it was unbelievable!

  • and the space craft was designed by ur mamma :)

  • i know this might sound like a stupid question but does the 9700led officially suppport intel quad cores ( Q9450 ) ? i have been reading some review and it says everythingg up to core 2 duo,is this true?please answer as soon as you can,i dont want to fry my q9450 because i am overclocking.

  • i have this cooler and yes it works on quad cores!

  • NICE ONE CHEERS MATEY!

  • HOW HIGH DOES THIS LET U OVERCLOCK

  • depends on numerous things

    motherboard...processor...ambient temperature and thermal compound

  • as high as you want

  • yeah,mine also is q9450,but not oc.

  • will this cooler fit in a coolermaster centurion 590 case and on an asus p5q deluxe motherboard?

  • is it true that this heatsink comes equipped with thermal grease?

  • no it doesn't. but use arctic silver 5 for any thermal compound needs, anything else just blows

  • awesome cooler, and he turned the fan to 100% thats why it sounds a little loud, at lowest speed the thing is QUIIIIET, whisper quiet indeed. since i got it, my e6400 cpu's oc'd temps went from about 50c idle to 32c(that's at lowest fan speed), WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW, paired up with arctic silver 5 of course.

  • YAY that's true I bought it :)

  • holy shit, that thing roarrs liek a beast!

  • might wanna clean up that dust

  • best CPU cooler

  • hey matrix did it decrease the temp and keep your cpu at a lower temp? just wondering cause im getting one my cpu temp goes to 85 and i use the heatsink it comes with.

  • I do not have accurate before/after temperatures on this particular machine, because it has one of the defective Brisbane temperature sensors.

If your CPU temperature goes to 85°C, you have a problem. You should reapply thermal greasing.

  • Matrix is right, check the thermal paste. If its white, you got the wrong one. But then again i'm too late to tell you about this, heheh.

  • i have same one!!

  • Actually it keeps my CPU at 23-26c when I leave it alone for a while, actually average of 25c even when in use, all depends of room temp and usually the fan stays off because the cpu never has a chance to heat up, full load is 33c at the most and its overclocked, I rest my case. BTW my air conditioner doesn't work right now either, so its that good.

  • 1 depends on what u consider loud my fan is said to be loud but i think it isnt that bad 2 i found that thing on newegg for about 50 bux just now 3 im not a fanboy but i am considering buying this though am looking at tomshardware reviews of things

  • holy shit dude that thing is fking huge u think 2 of those will fit in a full tower case?

  • why would you need two? and it's gotta be huge for the job it puts.

  • he would need 2 for a skultrail mobo

  • doubt it and just be aware of the heavyness...look up the measurements and where you plan to put it then measure out in your case to see if it will fit though

  • dam that cooler is big was it hard to install bec i am thing about getting one

  • It was somewhat confusing to install the first time around, but after having done it once, it would probably be as simple as pie.

  • It isn't as loud as it sounds in the video. The camera I used to record this is very perceptive.

  • and no one has to run it full speed all the time, its silent otherwise.
