All Hail the Jazz Cat..As consistent as their album cover mascot.. The Rippingtons continue, after 20 years, to keep us dreaming with their unique sound. Hard pressed to find a band whose music stirs so many emotions, track after track...I look forward to owning the ENTIRE collection one day.
Had not heard this one before, Thanks for posting it. Makes me want to pack my bags and head out for some distant, quite, beach somewhere. Believe you and I have very similar taste in music. Wondering if you are as low keyed as I am? Thanks again squonkdh
Russ Freeman, and the Rippingtons indian influence is everywhere in their music, and there is a reason for it...Freeman is of indian decent....go search yourself...but there is no question about one thing....Rippingtons RIP ass , simple as that...go find another mellow jazz band that beats these guys....won't find it...period!!
@squonkdh Pat matheny is good also if you haven't heard him give it a try." Last train home", you wont be dissapointed I promise. Never heard these guys before and I love the Indian flute. Great song.
@The506easy ...agree Pat Metheny is a musical genius!! My favorite by them and there are many, but this one is still my all time favorite...'San Lorenzo' I am sure you know it, you have to, but if you don't , I strongly urge you to go listen NOW!! You will find no other better song EVER!!
Hey thanks for posting this song. Saw them in Ft.Lauderdale on this tour. Phenomenal Couldn't find this song awhile back. Thanks again Incredibly smooth song, gives me chills God Bless
And who can not love the unmistakable sounds of the Rippingtons? Sounds like something you would play while cruising in New Mexico!!! Actually, Taos IS in New Mexico!!!
