I think one of the most appealing aspects of Seinfeld is just how surreal some of the situations were. Nah, the laughs on those deleted scenes that come from the right and left channel (at least on dvd) are not original, they were added for the dvd's. I don't know why they didn't use the original laughs but you'll hear a lot of the exact same laughs if you pay attention.
