my USKOC also broke, which I was using with the HDD versions on my PC. I got fed up with IIDX and deleted everything except 9th style which i still play from time to time, except I can't pass anything harder than like, moon_child 7k or whatever since i'm just playing with my keyboard.

i know DJ DAO makes some nicer IIDX controllers that don't cost too much, which i'm trying to resist buying :P

Later beatmania IIDX and several BEMANI games run on Windows XP Embedded: if you can get your hands on an original HDD for the game, you can use it by just plugging it into a Windows PC :)

Does it even matter? Most of these games are in production around the same time too so it makes sense they share some songs.

Well, the song itself is not the worst in the history of bemani, but it does not qualifies as a suitable OME song. And the notechart has problems: repetitive, uninspired jackhammers, overall feels like Konami is just trying to make hard chart, not hard song.
