Healthcare is in good conditions generally, but they do have shortage of many medicines and pretty much everything because of US governments embargo. Thats what US government likes to do everywhere in the world, worsening conditions of normal people. With embargo they tried to make cubans revolt and take Castro out from power, but because normal cubans are loyal to Castro they havent done so.

@ElMataCHE During Castros rule amount of citizens per one doctor has fallen from 5000 (1958) to 400 (1988), life expectancy risen from 57 (1958) to 75 (1992). That is a false and foolish conjecture. The hundreds-or thousands of deaths attributed to Batista, is a legend and propaganda, spread mainly by Miguel Angel Quevedo, director of a magazine in Cuba pro-Castro called Bohemia .. The magazine run by this fan of Fidel, and infiltrated by Communists, is responsible for all the legends about the killings attributed to Batista.
