This car is a '72. '71 was a different body style, and '73 had a wall to wall eggcrate grill with the horrid US DOT mandated 5-mph bumpers...and EGR. The '72 model year was the last year for any kind of performance, with light bumpers and no EGR. After this it was a bleak time of front and rear bumpers you could picnic on, EGR pumps, no lead fuel and smelly expensive Catylitic Converters. Mass produced Cats and EFI rode to the rescue in the 80's, but there's nothing like the pre-72 cars.

That is a 72 torino. I know a lot about the torino and gran torino. I have a 73 gran torino and that is no 73 sir.
