I heard you can stick a straw in between the plastic and the metal in sensor 3 to block it, and i tried that but I just can't get the cd to spin with the tray open. I was able to get the other sensors blocked, just not this one. What am I doing wrong?

@doublea110 Probably because you have electrical tape over the LED... :v

By the way, I tried this out and it works great. The only thing is that I couldn't manage to tighten the screw on the disc brake, I was threatening to strip it so I ignored it. Honestly if you can't tighten the screw, it's no big deal as you can either close the lid or hold the disc brake back yourself using an audio jack or something. Just don't try to run a disc without the brake held back, it makes a DREADFUL noise.

VERY first time i heard of swap magic i wasted cash for plastic bits to plug the senors up, then i just plugged them up with any thing i could fine etc

when all i just had to do was open it up and tape the switches down and the hardest one to keep shut i.e sensor 3 was as easy as tightning a screw *sighs*

Oh nice video thanks friends but my ps2 its new ps2 9000 -4 and i just block 1rst sensor and its work perfectly without bloking 2 and 3 one i have swap magic 3.8 so who has swap magic 3.8 its no necessarly bloking all of them just block 1rst one because 3.8 verson  its new one comes with new inprove codes

Thanks for this tutorial it helps alot. One thing you should do though before opening any sort of electrical equipment is to always unplug the power supply first. If you're working with something with many capacitors it could hurt or even kill you if it were something like a TV.

when i cover the sensor by the green light. and the sensor in the back (not the lid, but in the ps2) my system turns off. can but it works when the lid is open by itself. oh n i dont think my spinner works either. can someone help me out?

I heard you don't need to open to get all the sensors if you have an older ps2. The first two are on the disk tray and isn't there one to the left next to the spring? (If your ps2 doesn't have a metal piece blocking it)

From my understanding and research all u need to block is the 1st and 2nd sensors. Research Free MCBOOT...make sure your ps2 model is compatible....buy 007: Agent Under Fire and follow the tutorials you find...And u can play your back-ups and other things...all FREE OF CHARGE.

I made this without previously viewing or any knowledge of people taking it a part just though the straw thing was the only option. Now I see others have done this... not any have i viewed that actually realize to tighten the screw most remove the door or slide all together. Hope this works for everyone.
