  • All the locals bitch and complain about their town because of the oil but what they cant see is that the oil is bringing opportunity because without all the new people in this town they wouldnt even be thinking about bringing new buisnessess into the town and with the oil we also have one of the best economies in the U.S. everyone is so centered on the bad that comes out of it like bad people, crimes etc. but it also brings in alot of good people into the town to. im not hating on locals I'm one

  • Thanks for sharing this. It's very accurate.

  • Let them eat oil. Where they going to grow the wheat once the fields are gone? When humans learn to eat oil, I'll get excited.

  • @impishparrot ...hey Jethro, the wheat continues to grow with oil pads in the middle. Get a clue.

  • We have plenty of places to get food from, this is just a small speck of fields.

  • Just like the Drudis ,Stone Henge.

  • @deborahkaye1234 ...I'm assuming you mean natureworshippers (Sierra Club, Climate

cultists, et al). Basically a pagan, metaphysical, hysterical mindset......

  • good luck eating that oil when all the wheat fields are gone. We need to grow food too. I get that we need oil but to go crazy like this will just destroy everything. Slow down, moderate. Yeah, that's going to happen with greed running rampant!

  • @hollisjt ...can't wait to see you go into a Williston bar and accuse the patrons there of being greedy,LOL.

Get a clue--your own pension fund is invested in "greedy" corporations that you expect to make a good profit, or you'll bitch about that, too.

Some people can't be helped. That would be YOU.

"Destroy EVERYTHING?" Where did oil exploration/development destroy EVERYTHING? Be specific.

  • @hollisjt ......you probably have a job because of some "greedy businessman". You demonstrate a total ignorance of basic economics.

  • im heading there!!!!

  • @tsmoak76 no dont come here we dont have to room unless you want to live in a tent

  • in nd there is a ghost town called wildrose that is slowly dieing, but now it has 3 times the people in the town... im a 11 year old and all my mothers side lives up there on farms, my grandpa and grandma farm and they only have a small amount of the mineral rights and they will NEVER sell it. its amazing when im caring about this stuff while other kids are watching videos on video games...

  • @40rottentomatoes10 ....hang on to those mineral rights until the right time to cash 'em in......remember that the Liberals will call you greedy for speculating for just the right time. You'll be part of the 1% that they are telling their zombie voters to hate.....there will be a time when it will be right to sell....the fiscal/monetary crisis in Greece is just a microcosm of what will happen to this country with the Liberals that ran it into the ditch by insisting on home loans for deadbeats

  • Cody Hughes was here

  • The real Wiliston? Landlords have gotten so greedy that they raise rent up to 200% in one shot. They run their buildings like slumlords with mice in the buildings. Last spring I went without water for over 2 weeks and the landlord refused to do so much as put up a portable toilet. There is no rent control and no one that oversees to make sure the landlords are following the law. No one checks to make sure the buildings are up to code. THIS is the new Williston.

  • I have a bunch of kin up in Willy and they all love it. I used to live down in Bowman, ND and can relate to the small town feeling. I personally wouldn't live up there because they only have 2 seasons...winter and mosquito!

  • I grew up in a REAL small town near Williston, which was the big city to me then. We used to go there to buy what we couldn't find at the five and dime near home. I haven't been back for several years, wonder if I'd recognize it! There's a lot to be said for life in that corner of Nodak, but it's not for everyone.

  • no offense... but why does anyone love williston. honestly i love the boom and could care less if this becomes a ghost town after the bubble bursts. I've lived here my entire life and the only reason I'm still here is the economy. this has always been boring little town scared to death of expanding and growing. I'll miss my friends but never the town.

  • Having lived in Williston during Junior High and High School, I have many fond memories of the small town life.

It is with dread that I watched this video, wondering what will happen to the wonderful small town life that once was.

  • Dark times are coming, Oil is driving our town into decay.

Crimes rates, accidents and greedy businessmen. Just what a small town like Williston needed...

People cant get the dollar signs out of their eyes for even 2 seconds to see the true horror of what is.

  • True report, except there are lots of women here...not everyone lives in man camps and the reason he didn't see any kids was because school started yesterday and today in Williston! Brainiac!!!

  • Try living their it sucks now
