Hey bro you Nitro is built on the JEEP LIBERTY platform, which means your nitro is a jeep! I love how people go out and buy the first of a new model and never expect to have a problem, Remember 96 NIssan pathfinders???, the will have bugs worked out of the new Grand Cherokees soon enough, I work at a Jeep dealer and haven't seen but a few issues with Grand Cherokees.

Jeep "should" be better than Nitro off roading, buuuuut, in my case I buy a 2011 for 22995 (price in Puerto Rico) 2wd compare with the Jeep GC cost of 32,000 grand 2wd, not bad for this black Nitro performance off road on grasp.

We Have Had The Jeep For About a Year, I Like The Vehicle, But , Also ,,,, I Deal With Reality, I Do Not Want To Bust Anyone's Bubble About The Jeep, But, There Are Problems .. GOOGLE --(2011 Jeep grand cherokee electronic shut down problems) We Are Having Some Of These Problems.... The Jeep Is At The Dealers Now ,,, & They Are Trying To Figure Out What The Existing Problems Is .. Electrical & Electronic Wise, ( NOTHING WORKS ) ! ! ! ! TOTAL SHUT DOWN ! ! ! !

Offroading? I could do this in my Speed3. Don't hate getting an '11 4wd 3.7 for the wife for an amazing 20990. Can't ignore the smooth quiet ride and the room for stuff for that price. Trading a Focus SES.

ive had/have both and unless your gonna go off-road or drive it to nascar its apples and oranges, i like the nitro after having driven the jeep for 15 years..both have good features...

Experance, But , After Having Driven The Jeep For A Year , I Can State, ( WITH REGRET ) , That There Are Issues With The JEEP ! ! !

I Have Experanced Some of These Personally.

Especially The No Start Problem.

okay your laredo couldn't pass a grass trial??? seriously? plus you shouldn't drive an automatic using both feet(1 in breaks) i could see it happened to the driver.(Nitro)

Dodge Nitro's Transmission has the same HEMI* Transmission as the 300C Chrysler and Grand Cherokee Limited.

Something that the Nitro has apart from the ABS is a sensor anti collision plus stabilizer... if you take your nitro into a corner in fast speed, u probably slide but nitro will not let it happen... :) Love it!

No Real Point To Be Taken.The NITRO Has Larger, Wider Tires / Wheels,

Stronger Motor. Different Type Transmission/Gear Ratio,etc.

Also Gets Less Gas Milage Per Gal. etc..

The JEEP Has a More Versital Transmission/ More Selections For OFF Road Conditions.

At The " Same Point " Comming Up The Hill,, After Stopping,,

The JEEP Lost Traction & Spun, The NITRO Did Not Loose Traction/ Did Not Spin..The Jeep Is A Far More Comfortable Vehicle For

Traveling, etc.Better Gas Milage.Cost More
