to solve the problem, if you care to look into your subject, the hydrogen can be produced on demand, by the vehicle you travel in, therefor every stream lake or river you pass will be your fueling station. the only REAL problem governments face in the hydrogen game is how to maintain a stranglehold monopoly on it to maintain their high living status
@ianbellanti hahaha you told that hydrotec idiot!!! He's probably American. Middle East to him is somewhere near Texas! LOL Malta is a great place. Wish I lived there. You're a lucky sod! lol
you store it in hydride form in pellots in those tanks it will exceed the amount if it was in liquid and is safe then you heat the pellots to release the hydrogen for on demand see bob lazaars way of storing it
She said this is the classic problem of the chicken and the egg? Science is only limited by our scope of view. There is so much more to discover and limiting the possibilities with a view such as this is truly a sure way to box in free thinking to overcome and discover new ways of breaking "out of the box"
Hydrogen can be produced "on site" if you will.. it doesn't have to be stored in a tank or bottle. It can be made while you are on the road by simple electrical means.
A 2nd "chicken or egg" problem is the high cost of fuel cells. The auto companies won't start mass production until the price comes waaay down from the current half million dollars each. But they can't bring the price down without mass production...
i think the answer is to find a way to make the hydrogen in the car so the fuel dosnt have to be stored. i am wondering if every one on the planet was buring hydrogen if we would slowly begin to use up the earth water supply. this would temporarily fix the problem of rising sea levels. with sea levels dropping it would make more habbiable land for more humans to live on = less resorses. so fixing one problem creats another. the only answer is tell every one to stop making babies.
PBS Scientific American Frontiers hydrogen hopes Stan Ovshinsky solor hydrogen car to store it. All gas stations need is a tank to store the hydrogen and water. Solor panles, wind power, battery power and hydrogen generators for back up.
The biggest benefit of this system is SAFETY, it produces a much smaller amount of hydrogen than a pure hydrogen car would need on hand, and it uses it while its being produced so its not being stored up, which means, yay!, no bomb in your car!!! Its cheap and easy to do, requires no infrastructure that isnt already in place (distilled water at wal-mart, 76 cents a gallon last time I was there...) its safe, and can effectively double your fuel economy... Hybrid gas/hydrogen cars For the win!!!
will your entire car run off this system? short answer, No... then why install it? because depending on the vehicle and the system you use, you can increase the fuel economy of your vehicle by at least 30% and even as high as 100% and beyond in some instances... (my friends 66 chevy impala with a 350 chevy small block in it gets 43 mpg highway, around 30 city, going down to about 20 going up hills, still giving him a better than 100% increase in fuel economy...) this is with a MUSCLE CAR 390hp
um, interesting...although completely overlooks some pretty vital facts the the "pros and cons" of hydrogen fuel, #1 you can put a hydrogen fuel system in your car for, depending on the type of system used, and how much hydrogen you want to produce, between $50-$1000...some systems are more expensive but offer no extra safety or production value... and yes, by production I mean producing your own hydrogen fuel, SAFELY, and easily, using distilled water and sodium bicarbonate...
I'm old and don't have to wait 10 years to realize a 100% hydrogen fueled vehicle. A 1% achievement in mileage for every HHO information contributed by the real heroes of this generation is enough to send a clear message to the greedy corporate bastards and politicians that enough is enough. We the people who believes in HHO are sometimes ridiculed. "So what"! Saving the planet is not such a bad idea!
My advice is...don't make yourselves stupid and don't just theorize about the pros and cons of hydrogen. Instead, try to develop a viable and more efficient storage system. National Institute of Standards and Technology's Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) for example is developing a practical hydrogen fuel tank using metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)which is aimed at storing enough Hydrogen in a safer and efficient manner.
Actually Bush said that he will spend our 1.7 billion dollars on driving our economy in the ground and kill our solders and innocent people. And drive those gas prices up.
BULL SHIT!!!!! I've made my own HHO, and it is very simple, and WAY cheeper than GAS! it does NOT have to be stored! It can be made on demand with no danger of going boom! So up yours pinhead!!!
What the retards in Washington don't seem to realize is this, if we as US citizens didn't have to waist our money on there very poor poluting fuel, made by oil, we'd have the money for a strong economy. Get out of your box! We don't need gas stations. We don't need power companies. We can make what we need within our own homes & vehicals with an unlimited resource, independantly & completely off grid! Yes the economic structure would need to go through some readjusting, but so what!
With him! yeah thats the same as the whalers had to gthrough and it saved what almost was lost through greed back then. We found,,,,ugh cruuuuuude oil!
Same thing with boiler maker/steam fitters, locamotion went ,,,ugh! eeeeeelectric!
Good points raised. It should be noted that hydrogen is really more of an energy currency (like ATP in biological systems), so the technical/public debate should be focused on determining if hydrogen fits that role well.
so these people have never herd of hho gas hydrogen on demand 12 volts 15 to 30 amp fuel produced on demand with out 10 psi hydrogen tank its made from H2-O SOME PEOPLE CALL THAT WATER ???

@whackitov and THAT my friend is only 1 of the problems we face with MONOPOLIES!!
EVERYTHING should and MUST be made free!
This is why I recently joined "The Free World Charter" It eliminates GREED!
Which in turn will be a step towards OUR higher state of consciousness!
We haven't evolved in thousands of years because of greed & DOMINATION!
DUMB ASS SHEEP!
Thanks

there is a way to build you own hydrogen car, for les than 200 dollars ! ( complete hydrogen will ben a litten more expansive).
but a big new thing is the bubbler system.
this splits water into hydrogen gas with the use of very little energy. from your car battery.
a good system will run about 60% more effectiently than only gas.
search youtube for hydrogen generator
the Stanley Meyer generator is one of the best and simplest ones to build.
nog hydrogen storage, only water !

@bahdah1234 when the gas produced from water is burned, it collapses from a gas back into water, there is no loss of water

1: Where will all the fuel go?
You have a cell in the car to produce it, reducing the risk of an explosion.
2: To produce hydrogen is energy extensive (steam reforming)
You know, you can make hydrogen from a solar panel.
