The prophecy that the US will descend into race war becomes plausible only through idiotic and unfair policies like AA. The US, like other nations, with it's white race in free fall as a %pop., needs to drop polices like affirmative action before they ignite a spiral of race violence.

I oppose affirmitive action for a very simple reason. what characterizes racism/sexism? The bias of one group towards another due to race/gender/religion/ect. Now what characterizes AA? The Bias of the government towards one group due to race/gender/religion/ect. Just think on that one.
If we do not have laws that protect minorities and women from discrimination, minorities and women will be discriminated against. It is that simple. AA is not racist because no one is denied a job or anything else for being a white male. Also pretty simple. Most white people so not support AA for the simple reason: they do not believe racism exists.
So you think it is better to discriminate against the majority,solely because they are the majority. AA is racist because it gives preferential treatment to minorities on the sole basis that they are minorities, not based upon thier merits.
i'm against affirmative action, because it would cancel out the importance of proper education. what would be the point of working hard in school if another person with LOWER scores and test results than yours could have the job you earned just because of the color of his/her skin? this is democracy, not communism. earn your job, don't whine about how this system is stacked against you. most of the people in this country don't even have a concept of true oppression.

one there should be NO policy favoring anyone person over an other & if such do exist should be done away with. Any form governmental or not should not have anything on it to indicate sex, color or creed .. if they do they endorse sexism, racism & religious predigests.
