  • Hurray for Dr. Pepper! It gets it's moment in the spot light.

    *drool* Ham~~~~ Yum~~~~

  • thats 1 dislike too many, thanks for the vid!!!

  • How can u tell if it country or city ham

  • @Weecha258 Country ham has a dry preservation/marinade, while City had has a wet one.

  • @KupoWrath thats what she said LOLZ

  • What is it with AB and Forest Gump?

  • Gump was filmed mostly in Georgia(Good eats is filmed on site in Atlanta) so id assume the movie is even more popular there. I know movies filmed around here become a big deal for sure.

  • i love the magic and the jokes in this episode

  • there's more ham in here than just the food.

    But that's why I <3 Alton.. :)

  • =O Dr Pepper flavored ham! I've got to try that!

  • I know slow cooking with cola is always good.

  • I have also heard a lot about a cola & beef jus Reduction as a sauce for Foie Gras but i havn't tried it yet.

  • Hmm, I've never heard of that.

    I must try that sometime

  • It was big in the 90's One of the restaurants featured on "The Best Of" even featured it as their signature dish, but again, I haven't tried it.

  • i love alton's impression of forest gump!

  • That's exactly why I looked up this clip...it made me laugh SO hard when I saw it on tv

  • Portuguese Presunto :p hmmm nhamy

  • lol you could see the popcorn inside the hat

  • AB should leave the magic to the imagination of those named after Charles Dickens' novels. ^.^

  • No thanks.

  • You'd have to be one charming pig to be eaten.

  • i don't dig on swine

  • Comment removed

  • That's never a bad thing. Strange is good!

  • i hate ham, but both of those look delicious

  • you hate ham? why, how was it mutilated when you were fed it? i love ham, when my mom makes it, she does NOT use crappy arse fruit juice she does a wonderful glaze that is awesome makes the good

my grandmother uses orange juice and i cannot stand it.

  • Go to sugarmtnfarm dt com and see how they raise pigs on natural pasture and surplus organic whey from a cheese factory. I've never bought or tasted it, but my grandpa raised hogs that way too. (He was so old school, he was cool and didn't know it.)

  • I agree, I'm not a pork person (aside from bacon, mmm). I find it too tough sometimes; I prefer beef and poultry.

  • mmm bacon is good i will submit.

  • Huzzah!

  • damn striaght ham is the bets

the way my aunt makes it it is never dry or tough

    beef is king though

except in the world of breakfast

    there ham rules all

  • straight ham, theres a gay ham? no i know what ur talking about but that would be kinda weird

  • i said damn straight

    ham is the best

  • shego was joking

  • Le gasp!

    LTH posts!

This is indeed my favorite TV series, perhaps ever.

  • i wish he was my science teacha

  • How dare you insult AB with such blasphemy!!! :P

  • u tell em LTH lol

  • @LikeTheHat AB"s favorite chef is Julia childs and the galloping gourmet went thou a huge hurdle with his wife getting cancer and changed his life

But ab is the best on food network

  • @LikeTheHat That's not an insult—AB stands on their shoulders

  • @LikeTheHat Alton himself says he took inspiration from Julia Childs.

  • @spydyrman420 Better, not true. On the same level, yes.

  • @khesed I can agree with that, hence the "possibly". Chances are that nobody here has even seen The Galloping Gourmet, or watched it seriously, considering it was before most of you were born. It was before my time as well, but I happened to catch some reruns on late night Food Network, I think. Not suprised my comment got voted down to invisibility, but thought I'd put my opinion out there anyway. I personally think Alton Brown reinvented food shows in a great way.

  • Skanky, yes. Creative? Yes.

  • ROFL! The Barbie thing was skanky!

  • lol at the barbie analogy

  • Hahaha. The Barbie doll skit was the skankiest thing I've ever seen on Food Network.

  • I love you Alton
