The Ayet was revelealed because Muhammad no longer liked his old wife, and allah said it was ok for her to reconsile with Mo just to stay married so she bartered her nights.

Re-examine 4:34. The verse first establishes man’s superiority. Then, near the middle of the verse the justification for wife beating is laid out: "As for those from whom you fear "disobedience". Disobedience is the cause for beating the wife, not sexual immorality.
Part2b Reply: Continued- Finally, the cause for the husband to stop the beating is given: "Then if they obey you, take no further action against them. The wife’s "disobedience" is countered by her "obedience." Therefore, the correct interpretation of "nushuz" is disobedience, or rebelliousness, or equivalent.

This root has not one thing to do with the word used "wa idriboohunna" or in English "and scourge them". idreb is the word used, not it's root dharb. Idreb is used what in the Quran? Like 12 times? ..And from the context of every major Taffsir and hadith, the context isn't that of a proverb. So your ideology has never before been used in Islam. In the context of the above verse the most appropriate meaning for nushuz is 'marital discord' (ill-will, animosity etc), and for adriboo is 'to separate' or 'to part'. Otherwise, it is inviting the likelihood of a divorce without any reconciliation procedure. Such a step would blatantly contravene the Qur'anic guidance shown in verse 4:35 below.

According to Quran 4:34 about beating your wives, it say if you just FEAR rebellion from her, you can beat her (and, it doesn't say lightly in the original). It's kind of like Quran 18:74-81, where an INNOCENT youth is killed by a traveling companion of Mose, and, killed just by FEARING he'd grow up to disappoint parents or show ungratefulness toward Allah....which opens the door up to "honor" killing. I said I have a problem with the Ayet because it's does nothing for the woman but "suggest" to her that she suck it up and make a deal, because it's better not to be at odds with the husband. The ayet doesn't give the woman any choice. It adds on to the degradation instilled by 4.34
The Ayet was revelealed because Muhammad no longer liked his old wife, and allah said it was ok for her to reconsile with Mo just to stay married so she bartered her nights.

Disobedience to the husband is the context in all of these. None of the translators translates this as "sexual immorality".
Looking at al-Jalalayn, and Ibn ‘Abbâs, these two also speak of disobedience and no immorality. And were to take your definition?

Re-examine 4:34. The verse first establishes man’s superiority. Then, near the middle of the verse the justification for wife beating is laid out: "As for those from whom you fear "disobedience". Disobedience is the cause for beating the wife, not sexual immorality.

In the context of the above verse the most appropriate meaning for nushuz is 'marital discord' (ill-will, animosity etc), and for adriboo is 'to separate' or 'to part'. Otherwise, it is inviting the likelihood of a divorce without any reconciliation procedure. Such a step would blatantly contravene the Qur'anic guidance shown in verse 4:35 below.

According to Quran 4:34 about beating your wives, it say if you just FEAR rebellion from her, you can beat her (and, it doesn't say lightly in the original). It's kind of like Quran 18:74-81, where an INNOCENT youth is killed by a traveling companion of Mose, and, killed just by FEARING he'd grow up to disappoint parents or show ungratefulness toward Allah....which opens the door up to "honor" killing. So, if you are a paranoid Muslim suspicious of others, it's ok to attack first.
