Unfortunately the Jim Crow Laws were not abolished right away. Yes, you could eat a hamburger in McDonald's....with spit or dirt added! It took a lot of work and viglance but it was overcame.

The information presented in this video is correct. However, the way it was presented is in my opinion very offensive. The actors are making a mockery of african american people. There is nothing funny about this time period. This is a very poor representation. If I were the teacher of this class there is no way I would have given a grade of 49/50.

You did a very good job on the information you gave through talking but the acting comes off as like you don't really care and in many ways portray things like their funny. So many people are still suffering and facing hardship.
Yes, it was in fact a school project. The reason for the facepaint, etc. was just to make it realistic and informative as possible. We couldn't get a white guy to do it simply because it would just be laughed, even though this was also. However, this was a hit and we recieved a 49/50 on the project :) Sorry to offend you in any way that we did, the only black guy in our class was already in a group and he was actually laughing at this. So, have a good day. It's not like were racist. rofl
