I like cyberpunk... and I love the Neuromancer trilogy. William Gibson is great.

I wish I could say the same. =) I think I'm just not into the whole idea of tossing out ideas and sentences without actually providing sufficient context behind them... I understand that most writers tend to go too far in the opposite extreme, but a story needs to be awfully good to be worth piecing together in such small packets at a time. ;)

Well, all you need to know about Gibson is that he was a hippie that never touched a computer even after the books were published. Still, his ideas about cyberspace and the like revolutionized the world's way of thinking =P

Definitely. There's no question that he's a man of great ideas... But not necessarily a great writer. ;p I recall Tim Berners-Lee was once criticized for speaking in hypertext: His sentences are a disjointed series of ideas that link to one another but don't form complete sentences. Alas, great thinkers aren't always great at expressing their ideas using the limited facilities that language provides.
