  • this band sounds actually better than the stones

  • loving charley drayton on the drums he kicks ass i found out who he was from listening to the aussie band the divinyls before i heard the winos.

  • Waddy is a great guitar player...never got to see him with keef...only the other usual suspects like Stevie Nicks and Linda Rondstadt....Great band....

  • Happy B'Day...Come back and enjoy NEw Orleans again to get ready to tour..you expensive wino...

  • Actually, Charlie Drayton was playing drums on this cut. He and Steve switched between bass and drums.

  • Happy birthday you legend!

  • Happy 68th birthday, Keef!

  • イカすぜキース!俺の永遠のギターヒーローだ!

  • Brothers that's Steve Jordan on bass, probably Charley Drayton on drum stool for this one.

  • Cool!

Men vader is echt heel erg fan van The Rolling Stones!!!!!:)

  • louythelip2000@yahoo.com

  • 2 people took it hard.

  • that drummer is balls ass honkin voodoo

  • good stuff

too bad the live album of this was mixed soo shitty. stupid drum too hot and is overpowering the guitars and everything else.

  • I can't get enough of that english rock and roll.

  • nice wun...but it jus sound's like rollin stone's without MJ.......

  • Love how Steve Jordan is so forward in the mix. About the only groove drummer that can rival Charlie Watts.

  • love the winos !!!!

  • just want to say it's not x-pensive winos & keith richards, it's just x-pensive winos ^^

  • YOU SHOULDNT TAKE IT SO HARD (YEAH!!!!!!!!!)

  • There are no bands with ballz such as these.

  • Are the x pensive winos going to tour?

  • Steve Jordan on drums whooohoooo

  • Another Expensive Winos album please

  • @beah023 Keith and Steve Jordan are working right now in a studio in NYC, and that's no joke.

  • @robin14669 That's excellent; can't wait to hearty what ball-sy new masterpiece they produce. I love, in his book, how Keith credits Steve Jordan for re-defining and re-igniting the spirit of co-writing for him. What a pair & what a rocking-ass band!

  • Same guitarist whith stevie nics on edgeg og 17 musuts be hot property

  • @asscity1 i believe that's Waddy Watchel, you've heard him on thousands of recordings.

  • 80's. gotta love them. Stones in the 80's were a different animal

  • Right on stevedrums - great username, too.

Whoo! What a frickin' band! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! More!

  • We need to send a petition to Keef to tour with this band again. I saw him twice at The Aragon Ballroom with the Expensive Winos. It was one of the best concerts I ever saw. It certainly blew away the shows I saw The Stones do during the 80's and 90's. Those Stones shows had become nothing more than a circus.

  • KR is terribly underrated as a guitarist and a song writer...he makes it all look easy.

  • Mamma mia!

  • That snare is godly sounding!

  • Does anyone know the name of this gig, maybe I can download it on the internet

    btw Keith Richards is great!!!!!!!!!!

  • @thisissway live at hollywood palladium

  • he sure can write 'em and play it

  • wow keef looks so young there ....lol!!!!!

  • keef's the greatest. they should make a keef teddy-bear. wouldn't need too much stuffing...

  • Waddy Wachtel was convicted of possessing child pornography and many artists wouldn't be caught dead on the same stage as someone like him.

I think he got a huge fine and three years suspended sentence-look it up if you don't believe me-he really is a low life.

  • Only Keef can walk into Gibson and say: "gimme a one pickup L 5."

    NOW.

    YEAH baby.

  • This IS Rock And Roll

  • KEEF!!!!!!!

  • I was there for this live is so much better

  • he is much better whitout his femi pal

  • gibson L5S, single pickup...

This is a great band. What was that other band Keith was in????

  • @freerangericky

He toured with Ron Woods in the New Barbarians back in 1978 or 79.

  • Cool version. What model guitar is that?

  • This blows away Mick's solo shit ten times over !

  • Was Waddy Watchel (spelling wrong ) in the winos?

  • @MrBlakjoob I don't think so....

  • @MrBlakjoob Yes Waddy was in the band. He also performed live with Stevie Nicks before he joined The Winos. Waddy is a great underated guitarist.

  • @Stoned69

    and pedophile

  • I had no idea Jordan played bass; cool!

  • Yo, is that Eazy-E on bass?!

  • MMRJL, i just mean when most people think of Keef, they think Heroin addicted drunk Wasted Rock Star. He admits to all that but, when you read the Book you Realize this is a very intelligent man, and the People he knows......Just SO much more to him than I realized.

  • Waddy and Keith make a great couple

  • We'll know when it really comes to an end, with a crashing halt....Keith, on the prospect of another tour by The Rolling Stones.

  • i also got his book for my Birthday and i must say i have a WHOLE NEW appreciation for him!!!

  • @butchman73 can you summarise why please? just got given the book

  • I love the way Steve Jordon & Charyle Drayton switch back and forth between the drums & bass in this band. 2 great musicians.

  • Just bought Keith's book, can't put it down. GREAT read.

  • Love the song. Love the singer. Love the guitar. Keith Richards is just an incredible talent.

  • Thanks for posting this song!

This song is being featured this week!

  • Keith with a Les P, wow. Love Waddy on lead, super musician also.

  • That is a great motherfucker of a song!

  • in my next life, I want to be one of his backup singers

  • in my next life, I want to be his backup singer. Incredible. I actually like his singing better than Jagger's

  • ya gotta admitt.....he sings better then bob dylan lol.....i love that grass hopper step keith does when hes rockin out lol

  • I sure wish Keith would put this band back together. Any band that has Ivan Neville, Charlie Drayton and Steve Jordan is going to kick ass!

  • We love you Keith. Best of luck.

  • Good old Keef rules!

  • Is there anybody better?

  • @fairman1952 of course not. Mr. Richards has been writing the book for 50 years, and he continues to write it. i'm not referring to his autobiography either, but to the book of rock n roll. let's hope he has many more codas to add to it.

  • Yo Pistolpete,

Agree completely. Keith is a fuckin' musician, Mick's a jerkoff. Prancin' and cock walkin' turned on 20 year olds in THE 60's, now in HIS 60's, he just looks a fuckin' fool! Plus, listen to "You Got The Silver", probably my favorite Stones song EVER! Rock On Keef, you're the shit!

  • @chitownbluesy The video documentary "Stripped" is more Mick acting his age.

did good on that one, and sang better than usual too (more in tune).

    Kieth? Timeless! :-)))))))))))))))))

  • @pistolpete111 Keith's album from 1987 sold about the same as Mick's 1986 "She's the Boss". That was hardly leaving Mick "in the dust". Besides, the next Stones tour wasn't until 1989.

  • @imaccuish I'm just wonderin' if Kieth is kinda' the opposing force that keeps Mick from being too jet setter in the Stones. They really are good together. I heard some solo stuff from Steven tyler of Aerosmith. He has a sense of melody, while the guitarist (I forget his name) has more of the unfettered punch. I see Kieth and similarly, but Kieth HAS melodic composing ability. Kieth is so rebel, Mick is so commercial (sometime, not always). Maybe their relationship keeps them from extremes.

  • @Upritebass I agree - Mick is yin to Keith's yang. They need each other, and when they meet in the middle...that is when you get the classic Stones material.

  • People listen up! Keith isn't going to be around forever. Actually, Keith will be around forever. Anyrate, enjoy this stuff. Rare, essentail and awesome.

  • Waddy is the coolest, most under-rated guitar player around. He is the genius behind alot of great music.

  • Talk is cheap was a great album.

  • @marcosomag Agreed. Used to crank TAKE IT SO HARD up on my way to football game-day back in high school.

  • Are there any memorable Jagger solo songs?

  • I will ALWAYS miss Mick Taylor....nice slide technique. I wondfer what ever became of him.

  • @fairman1952 he is still playing, search youtube for him, there are some videos.

  • Nothing worthwhile is accomplished without acquiring a thick skin. Or thin veins.

  • what a star!

  • What guitar is he playing?

  • Yes, indeed, Waddy does rock!!

  • Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!

  • WADDY ROXXXXX!!!!!!!!!!

  • Rock and Roll is best taken alive!

  • the greatness of keith,& the stones, write a great song and keep it simple.

  • @derdian3 Straight from the heart man, straight from the heart. Not meant to impress with finger dexterity. :-)

  • Whoaaa, this is a Rock n Roll meltdown!

  • Sounds very reminiscent of another classic Richards tune off ' Exile On main Street' All down the line gotta love Waddy Wachel a highly under rated guitarist

  • I had front row center seats at the Tower for their Philly show compliments of electric factory....Wut you sed. With Stones Keef seemed to be just going thru the motions, but with EW's he was ALIVE ! Waddy was sooooo much more of a guitarist than Ronny it is painful to think about. Great Vid !!! Im sure some legal twat will yank it soon....

  • Yeah Ronnie was never really a guitarist per say as much as he is a bassist... he played bass for Rod Stewart for most of his earlier carrier before the stones... not taking anything away from Ronnie though

  • When you listen to Ronnie in the Faces, he PLAYED.

Its almost like, when he became a 'Stone he felt he had not only attained a level where plying was unimportant, but he had to become a cartoon character and playing a role was more important than playing guitar. His slide/acoustic stuff is still great, but when he becomes covering real Stone stuff, he sux. To me, the Mick Taylor years defined he 'Stones. Anything after that is dénouement .

    Peace out !!

  • I agree the Mick Taylor years were the most rocking years after he (taylor) left they tried out several players to fill the spot vacated by Mr. Taylor.. Chris Spedding, Earl Slick and they even considered Michael Schenker at one time. I do not know a scorpion in the stones just does not feel right

  • Nobody else in the world knows how to do this.

  • My god listen to them ROCK!!!!!

The best thing is that their is probably a combined age of 250 years of rock and roll talent on that stage that night!

  • Now this is rock 'n' roll.

    *Ray*

  • i think keith's voice just totally fits this music...its rough, ballsy and doesnt give a fuck...he's keith fucking richards bitch!

  • Keef Riffhard just flat-out had it. Steve Jordan playing bass - tight rockin'!

  • This record was the one the Stones should have been making at this time. Keef can't sing a freaking lick but he makes it work and his band is awesome. This song came from one of the most important rock records to have been made in the last three decades. Just because it didn't sell a million copies doesn't mean it wasn't critical. Check it our for real!

  • "...This song came from one of the most important rock records to have been made in the last three decades.. "

It's very rare (at least for me) to buy an album by ANYBODY and to love every song. This album was one of the exceptions. I played this thing non-stop for weeks after it came out

  • Agreed! there is an amazing concert video that was released right after. I have it on VHS if you can believe that. But Keith was in rare form and the band is amazing. I swear to God that I could listen to Seve Jordan play and empty Coke can with two chopsticks and enjoy it. Let's hope they get everyone together for a new record soon.

  • somebody give that man a drink and a guitar! World needs SAVIN', people!

  • Keef is a hell of a songwriter

  • Was there for the tour. Never thought I'd get to see video. Thanks!

  • Still the man! Great album

  • great tune and killer performance...keith we missed you guys in houston.....hopefully next time...keep rockin....

  • Keith should have played this on tours with the Stones ..it rocks royal and beats Before They Make Me Run

  • I remember seeing this band at area 51. Great show until security chased everyone off

  • Who needs a dink like Mick when you have Keith!!??

  • richard idolo larga el pucho....

  • @666izzy666slash666 ROFLMBO!!!!!! So true!!!!

  • @666izzy666slash666 Uh uh, you're forgetting Bob Dylan! :) He has a horrible voice too :P

  • @666izzy666slash666 Forgot Dylan mate

  • @666izzy666slash666 its not so bad at least he dont have a electronic thing on his voice like the r and b singers do ..i wish he would tour again!!!!

  • @666izzy666slash666 one word...Lemmy

  • caught this show in chicago....the brawlroom.....unreal......lolololoo

  • I was there at the Aragon - 1992. Freakin' great show. Buddy Guy was there from what i hear. He opened with "Something Else" by Eddie Cochran. Excellent show!

  • The RiffMaster

  • Wish the Wino's would come back. Saw them in '93 and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Keef was on fire.

  • waddy?

  • his timing is fucked, but the best ever. goddamned junkie could spit on the strings and make it sound like magic. only guy on the planet i'd ever let punch me in the face and walk away.

  • how is his timing fucked?

  • The best guitarist in this world!
