  • 1958? WOW this is fuckin amazing.. Thanks for exposing this to me

  • The Story goes that Pat Boone,of all people heard him then got him a contract with Dot Records ! ! !

  • remember boppin' to this one.

    great stuff, thanks for posting.

  • This is Rockabilly, not Psychobilly. They're both good. They're similar in some ways, but they're two different genres. So stop comparing and enjoy the music.

  • I still have the original 45rpm, yeah

  • "EVERY MUSCLE IN MAH BODY BURNING WITH DEESAAHHH hhhaahhh hhhaaaahhhhh !!!!!!!". 1958 ! This is a slice of pure gold - shaking, real rawk 'n' roll. Thank God there are people out there who make records like this. 53 years later we're all still SHAKIN' to it. Yeeeeeeeeeeah.

  • lux drew his style from so many unique artists from the 50's and sixty's its incredible. And he could pull it off all whilst downing a bottle of wine, deep throating a microphone, busting stands over his knee and swaying from atop speaker cabs! too bad he had to go

  • Oh Help Me!....hahahaha Great!

  • Well, if you keep an open mind and do a little audio investigation,,,

Son House + Charlie Christian + Willie Dixon + Gene Krupa + Hank Williams + Les Paul + ( fill in the blank ). Mix 'em well, Add a handful of 'speed" a bottle of "Party Liquor", shake it, 'n bake-it out pops Rockabilly, and everything that comes afterward,,,,,,even ...Rap

  • Psychobilly is for fucking idiots with flaming dice tattoos and creepers. This is goddamn rockabilly. And Hasil Adkins was just a fuckin awesome weirdo.

  • @curbstompoioioi No disrespect at all but, psychobillys pretty hep, as is rockabilly..

  • @13stray None taken, I just can't stand pyschobilly assholes. Walking, talking cartoon characters with coffins on their t-shirts or something. I do, however, love me some chicks with big hair or beehives. File me under: hypocrite.

  • Just listened to it again for about the millionth time...every time I hear it it's as good as the first time I ever heard it and better than the last time. Everything rock 'n' roll should be. Beyond exaltation...

  • Wow I love this Ive only heard the cramps version, this was definatly a big influence on lux's style.

  • ROYALTY 79 wIth Neasden Billys

  • Wow. Clay Pidgeon, Eastcote - Shades , Manor House, The Headstone, North Harrow - around 1981 or 2. My youth where did it go?

  • Yeh awsome track.

  • Yeah!Awesome love song!!

  • oh my god, talk about take me back to my teens, they were good days!!!

  • Great tune.. takes me back to the early 80's London rockin scene..

  • @4beedub

We must have gone to a few of the same venues, and I must have done every Deltas gig

  • Story has it that they just about destroyed the studio recording this........busted instruments, broken drumsticks, knocked junk over.........MWA-HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

    One of the coolest!!!!!

  • Primitive rock 'n' roll....

IT DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!

  • Just been reissued as a repo/bootleg as wild as ever ROCKABILLY not pyschobabble

  • this is fuckin good shit

  • This and Bill Allen's "Something to Remember Me By" at the best two sides in rockabilly history!

    Raw, raunchy and real!

  • @voidforpurpose .where can i find that song?

  • @xkarduz

Luckily someone posted it on youtube!

"Bill Allen- Please Give Me Something"

    Enjoy!

  • @voidforpurpose Hello Mate! I Almost agree with you...The Phantom = Awsome; Bill Allen = Awsesome. There can be NO dispute. But "the two best sides in rockabilly"? Ooh...you're on shaky ground there. How about...never mind. Youtube is a TREASURETROVE of joy! DISCOVER.

  • Thats Wild!!!

    Rockabilly Rules!

  • The most stupendous one-shot Rockabilly disc ever produced in the annals of American history. Reduces "need" to its true core--raw, primal, slavering animal lust. If only real love 'n' life were as simple as this song wants it to be! Beware of compilations that edit out one of the yelps that open the song--both those screams are necessary to evince the "getting gone" insanity that propels this classic into the beyond.

  • maybe first psychobilly song in history?

  • @xkarduz agreed, and flying saucer rock and roll

  • @xkarduz not the first . listen to hasil adkins

  • @xkarduz dont forget hasil there dude

  • @xkarduz I'd say so. When I was playing for the Lowdown Bigshots about 1999 or so, we played this one in Indy where they had the weekender and everyone went gaga.

  • awsome!

  • Good stuff!

NB: His name was Marty Lott not Jerry Lott.

  • My dad and uncle knew Marty Lott very personally. They love him and miss him till this day and they still live only 15 miles from his house.

  • Oh my!! This song always makes me blast

  • ah this is like the best rockabilly song ever!

i dont see how it got any less than five stars!

  • For years, people thought the identity of The Phantom was Pat Boone. Never saw it myself, but it did turn out that Boone gave Lott a lot of help career-wise, including (I guess) bringing him to Dot.

  • ahh! i love this guy!

do you have anymore of his music? . . ..

  • rockabilly psychosis

  • pre cramps recording

  • Obviously

  • Supposedly this guy was a DJ who played his own records to make extra money from payola.

  • I don't get it. Didn't artist pay DJs to play their songs? How could he make money off of playing his own songs? Or am I being an utter idiot (very probably) and misunderstanding the concept of payola?

  • The radio station had to pay. So if you make 5 dollars an hour and play your own records you make 5 dollars plus royalties. Plus if the piece of trash takes off like - say - Wooly Bully you can make even more from other station play. It's the ultimate trash music gambit. Payola for your own trash.

  • Thanks - I appreciate the explination, bro.

  • You're full of it.

  • Hahahah

  • Foul mouthed 'rimming' fanatic!

  • Crazy man Crazy, Dig this psycho beat.

  • wow, havent herd this one in a while, thanks for posting.

  • At last.....been looking for this one. This one track influenced a lot of bands on the UK rockin scene during the 80s....thanks for posting

  • I have the 45-R.P.M. Single (on the DOT Label) ... Somewhere.

  • Not only is this one of the greatest records of the 1950s, it's one of the greatest records ever made by anyone, anywhere at any time. If you like it and you're new to this stuff, check out Jerry Byrne's 'Lights Out' on here - equally awesome!

  • If you love this song, check out Hillbilly Delights video of this. The guitar player really gets it right. You'll be surprised what country they're from but you'll be rewarded when the guitar brings it home.

  • Fantastic recording!!!

  • love itt

  • man this is wilder than any "psycho"

    this is real raw ROCKABILLY!

  • Yes this is the real stuff :)

    You should try covering it?

  • maybe.. this song probably scared the hell out of people haha

  • sounds like elvis

  • The greatest! Marty Lott lives on while John & George are wearing red union suits....

  • Wow

  • WILD

  • The original vinyl album of this is worth a chunk of change. Keep your eyes peeled.

  • I'm glad you enjoy these rockabilly tracks...keep rocking! Are you going to upload some good stuff ?

  • Fantastic song.

Brings back a lot of good memories.

    Thanks Rover TCB.

  • Thanks for posting this amazing song. In its time it must have shocked the hell out everyone. Defineitlely one of my favorites.
