  • an all-time ROCKER - has to be in the top 10 of HARD ROCK songs. Man!

  • thank god for ronnie Wood

  • Ronnie Wood really played the hell out of this song.

  • Wedding crashers <3

  • The Faces had Ronnie Wood before he joined the Rolling Stones and Kenney Jones before he joined the Who. Ronnie Lane a very solid bassist in his own right.

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of Sahara.

  • This is THE FACES not "Rod Stewart"

  • @xpat73 Rod Strewart wrote the song

  • I'd like to see justin beiber try to do an intro to a song that's as fucking kickass as this. if you've never listend to this, then you don't have balls. it's just that simple.

  • if i did what i could do back when this came out I would be jail no doubt

  • LUVED this album back in 1971,it so rocked and still does! BTW it is still the world's longest album title!

  • Classic rock, amazing. Love it and most old rock. ^_^

  • 'With a face like that you got nothing to laugh about'....

  • This is a song that has to be played LOUD.

  • amazing song..

  • I stay with you! Oh yeahhh.....

  • The rocker or the crooner? Made my selection.

    -

  • Sit down Get up Get out - greatest lyrics ever.

  • @djsk8er206 Hey,what's your name again?

  • <3

  • Rod Stewart is one ruthless bastard, kickin bitches out the door. Awesome.

  • just watched wedding crashers..rule 76 NO disliking this song..and no i don't care where i heard about this song

  • the first lyrics of the song are so true

  • You're a mean old Jezabel ffs

  • Don't be here in the morning when I get up.........GOLD.

  • @belldn3 ???

  • There is a band out there called "Faces" that sings this song too, ??

  • @thebluangel80 he was in it (rod stewart)

  • @thebluangel80

this is the Faces - they played with Rod on and off for a few years there, great band in and of itself, Steve Marriot was a member when they were called the Small Faces - check 'em out

  • dear trippybutterfly, I know its sexist, when i was a kid I had add. the words never stuck. I loved the rock beat. great rod hard rock song. I think its his fastest song. yeah, the words I now get. But u have to say, its today one of a fast up beat rock song. take care, joey d.

LOL The Hippy Days to tell the tale of the whale~~~Me and my Arrow>>---> Neilson Smilshin...? Hell it's like puddy everything's smudge..P.S., stay in school! HAHAHA

  • Just such an epic song!

  • Back when Rod Stewart was fucking awesome

  • This song is by the group "Faces," and Rod Stewart was their lead singer. Great lead-in, guitar, and keyboards in this one. :D

  • This is a Faces song.

  • Great song to go sailing to!

  • I think you take comments a little to personal..... I have over 38 years in Rock radio and feel opinions are just that.. Get a Job, live off your own and learn how to disagree and make friends... Life is too short to let a rambling jock give a musical statement.. By the way, have you ever interviewed this fine Scot? I could take the easy route and suggest the same, but I respect your right to comment... Agree or disagree.. It's not about you or me.. It about life expereiences... Later & Smile!

  • Lyrics wise.. NASTY and yet, refined.. Stewart, Woods and what was left of Little Stevie Marriott's "Small Faces" gave top-40 radio it's most rockin' intro of the 70's. Not a teen jock on AM or early FM Top-40 that did not like doin' the walk up on this intro, as long as you had a DAP processor on your AM or a early Optimod processor with a seperate Automatic Gain Control on the FM side... Crunch and feel the imaginary arms reaching out of the back speakers, grabbing and pulling on your ears.

  • @skippertthomas dude...SHUT.THE.FUCK.UP

  • rod is the shit

  • Thumbs up if you heard this song on the movie "Sahara" and typed it in to find out what song it was.

  • Ronny Wood Kicks Ass on this song! I can only think of 2 or 3 other songs in Rock & Roll with nasty delicious licks on the guitar like this song. ITS ORGASMIC.

  • @juliet1978ful

My wife loves that "dirty hateful piano" all the way through.

  • ronnie wood and rods voice great combo

  • two people don't want to stay with rod- that's their loss.

  • I knew her name was Rita. Her perfume...yeah.

  • the only thing i really evey liked by RS... but by god, this one sizzles, start to finish. i don't really know whether it is that it was impressed upon me so many times, as an 'hit'...; or, whether, the first time i heard it, it hit me. gud stuff, maynerd

  • the only thing i really evey liked by RS... but by god, this one sizzles, start to finish.

  • @geoped1

Not a Rod Stewart fan, either, but "Blondes Have More Fun" was a kick ass album from start to finish. "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" makes sense in the context of the album because the whole album emotes so well.

Sadly, emotion is often missing from Rod Stewart's albums. It seems to me that Rod's heart often isn't in it but when it is you get the afore mentioned album, this song and a fine cover of Chris Farlowe's "Handbags and Gladrags" (The original, not the Unplugged nightmare.)"

  • This was the first I'd ever heard of Rod Stewart. The lyrics blew me away. I didn't know at the time that you could get away with this on radio.

  • The best "Hit it and Quit it" song ever. Listening to the lyrics, thinking damn that's cold. LOL.

  • weird...since there are no dislikes, there aren't 44 dumb comments related to the dislikes

anyway..what an awesome song, in my years, i've passed over rod stewart for no particular reason, heard this song on the radio...researching now..so far so good

  • Faces Rules!

  • love this song

  • A very underrated Rod Stewart song. A rippin' intro and a tune that still rocks 40 yrs later.

  • One of the great rockin tunes of the early 70's.

My Mother God rest her soul liked this, she really liked Rods gravely voice.

She was 59 something when this came out. This stuff is timeless...

  • @blymy

as any singer will tell you- this is REALLY hard to sing

  • Ya know..when i was a dumb kid i fell in love with every floozy, but now in my 50s this one is more my speed.. .. Yeah..stay tonight then hit the bricks LOL

  • @DrFeelRotten i'm in my 50s, too; were lucky to get any one night stands now; get real narcissist

  • @MrJSmith1954

I think that the Good Doctor is merely saying that a one night stand in the autumn of his life is more desireable than the prospect of falling in love then having to give her the house for the second, or fifth, time.

Not that I agree with his statement, I like my girl and she likes me.

  • its about time this song was uploaded on youtube. goddam i love it!

  • "I know your name is Rita, 'cause your perfume is smelling sweeter, since when I saw you down on the floor!"

  • Two words: F-ing Awsome!

  • @vlamm3n faces baby

  • WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

  • Summer time. Driving in the car. Open window, hit it!

  • @greatwhale I can't fuckin wait for summer

  • @greatwhale yeeeeeaaah...doesn't care if you drive along the shoreline, through a straight road in the desert...or in a california highway.

this song's just suitable track to drive

  • @greatwhale It's also:

Midnight. San Francisco. Golden Gate Bridge. Top Down. Vampire in the back seat of your car! (I'm gonna give you the choice I never had)

    Seriously, this song is awesome!

  • Holy Jesus a Rod Stewart song that rocks!!

  • @vlamm3n Actually, this was the Faces, the band Rod was in before he went solo. The Faces were one of the coolest bands on the planet. There are few songs better than this one that exemplifies what rock and roll is all about.

  • So a couple years ago i watched Sahara and loved this one part were this song came on, This was when i was 13 and didn't know about IMDB, I Just Finished Watching the movie Wedding Crashers. and...this song came on, im now 18 and i looked this song up, Going on my Ipod, Number 1

  • Christ, this took awhile to find, thanks for the upload!

  • i love it one of the best

  • this is, no kidding, out of the 5000 songs in my playlist, my absolutely favorite song.

  • This is rock done right. THANKS!

  • Oh if I hear songs like this Faces classic, I only much too become with pleasure again a child. I can still remember well it when "Stay with me" beginning him of 70th on the German radio stations ran and my brother pull this song of his cassette recorder and played it again and again. Thanks a lot for postin' this great rocker from Germany!

  • I remember this being played at the Volunteer disco in Barking, it always seemed to kick off a fight causing the bouncers to pile in and start heaving bodies out of the door. crazy days!!!!!

  • Should be titled....Faces - Stay with Me. This wasn't a solo effort.

Rod and Ron Wood were a members of the band comprised of former Small Faces Ronnie Lane, Kenny Jones, and Ian MacLagan.

  • @B17b25guy while that is correct..do you think it would be as easy to find that way?

some times practicality is more important than accuracy

  • Thumbs up if u heard this from 100 Hits Rock ;DD

  • THAT PIANO!!! :D

  • @TheGrownUpAdult- That piano ties the whole thing together. This song is a great demonstration of musicianship.

  • @jager18903 absolutely why I love it, some "premiership" musicians putting something great together and no one person over-doing it or trying to steal the lime-light

  • @SamuraiMongoose You mean kinda like what the Beatles used to do?

  • Comment removed

  • Probably one of my all time favorite guitar intros!

  • @MrPacoTV Mine too, it's right up there with the Stones "Can't you hear me knocking".

  • @MrPacoTV Amen brother!

  • @MrPacoTV Yeah me too, absolutely. The Faces long disappeared and Rod went commercial, but there was a time when they were just the back up band for Deep Purple, who my older cousin took me to see - me being so young. Shit, nobody'd hear of them and they absolutely smoked. Couldn't get them off the stage they were called back so many times it would have started a riot right there at Pirate's World in Dania, FL. Just killed it for D.P., we left way early went out and bought Faces album next day.

  • This is Blues-based Rock.Rock is rooted in Blues.

  • This is not "hard rock" but all the same it's a great pop song... :)

  • How is this pop? It may not be hard rock but it is rock. Sort of country rock @partypianoplayer

  • it's old but it still sounds fresh . They use it in a lot of films . GREAT SONG !

  • best hard rocking rod stewart song he did. this song still rocks today. how come womens LIB. dont have anything to say?

  • @1969joeyd I agree, best Hot Rod song ever!

  • this on film wedding crashers

  • @l0st69 and sahara

  • Imagine if Rod Stewart died around 1972, people would be deifying him. If only they would have known what a pathetic lameass he's turned out to be.

Rod was once great. Not nomore.

  • @SuperGogetem

"I'm not the same angry young man that I was at 21 who would get up onstage every night twisting my ankles and sneering. I've grown out of him. I'm sorry if YOU missed it." -Elvis Costello

I gotta say that I'm with Elvis on this one. I saw The Clash in an Amphitheater when I was 18 and I liked Joe Strummer singing Toots and the Maytals and Bob Marley at 45. You gotta do things for yourself some of the time.

  • Finally, the original. Let's wait and see how long this one lasts.

  • @pollywoggle24 8 months apparently

  • I love the Faces,,,

  • Yeah, he kinda sucks live....@Greenace92

  • One of my favorite rockers of all times. Rod is #1 in my book. I can't think of too many who can put a show on like him. Scotland should be proud of him.

  • One of his best.

  • Great song! The best version ever! Much better than the live stuff on youtube. Thanks for the upload.....Don't ever remove it!

  • yeah! it's the good fucking version of this song thanks for the upload! All the others are like live and stuff

    thanks again!

  • Love the "Hey, what's yer name again?" line...

  • i love this song <333
