@franfan511 If you think THIS is horrible, well....then clearly you haven't heard some of the other abominable performances on YouTube. This is NOT a horrible performance. I find it's emotional depth to be lacking....but it's certainly not horrible!
@franfan511 Uh actually they started in the right key but they went sharp really quickly... as for blend, it's amazing and it's hard to sing in a foreign language with the right accent! So lay off!!
Blending is well done and I must aree with Hisheartofstone but A suggestion.... I know this is hard to many singers but lets try some rolling on the "R's" and soloist really let your sound "Ring" it's a beautiful voice and should be matched with a vibrato to die for but over all great workk guys enjoyed the listening thatnks for the Vid!!
I kinda agree with hisheartofstone, because the rests were really odd to me, and I've sang this song in my choir. I felt like it broke up the sentences a few times. Nevertheless the balance was pretty good, although the guys need to sing louder ;)
I'm singing this in my Freshman choir, it's a great piece. It's so weird because my friend and I are the only spanish speakers in the choir, so the piece was a bit easier for us than for everyone else...
On a brighter note, your balance between sections is great, yall are so lucky to have a near equal amount of men, I hear one bass with such a rich tone I would imagine he was born with a briefcase, haha. Your soloist was great, I agree the scoop on medio kinda threw her off.but she also did really well considering the way the last chord was written.
Because the spacing is odd, the men end on a low note, and the third sounds doubled, it would make it harder for the soloist to match on intonation perfectly negotiating everyone else in the choir , also as another tenor, contrary to arroganttenor89, I thought your tenors sounded very professional, if you close your eyes you can tell the tenors were 'feeling' the song, rather than just singing on 'auto-pilot', which is great to hear on such a sensitive song, but thats just me=P
The women tend to spread the vowels. Tenors need to sound like a HS choir. The altos and the basses sound didnt comeout. the soloist was fine until she sang "medio" she scooped up to the note and was flat. I dont think they were ready for this piece.
Tempo is a big factor when it comes to translating music from text to sound. Esto Les Digo is a softer, slower piece. The audience gets more from it when it's treated as such.
Sopranos had a hard time transitioning from the high notes down to the more alto range, especially the second "alli estoy yo". Practice makes perfect.
Soloist was a bit sharp and she pushed the tempo. Most likely due to nerves, Her overall tone was clear, but more darkness was definitely needed.
One of the better versions on YouTube I've heard so far. Musical singing is always nice to hear. Would have liked a bigger sound from the soloist, but hey....it was lovely.
they changed keys =\

solo part, you should carry the rest of the choir..
everyone's paying attention to you during your solo..
you can do better next time..Ü

Sopranos pushed the pitch up in the first measure. Probably nerves. Nice sound.
