It can also be loosening of the gas piston nut. This will certainly give you FTF

jammming up like every 2-3 rounds... that rifle needs a good stripping, cleaning, and possible gunsmith work- not firing properly.

Yeah they had pumped quite a few rounds through it that day, by the time i got to it, it was pretty well filthy
