Honestly the actual gameplay doesn't seem that bad at all compared to a lot of the FMV games that were on the Sega CD. I would have to say, however, that the one thing that really ruins it is the god-awful acting and the cheesy puns and lines. I mean c'mon.. "Doing a little window shopping?" when you're trying to break out of a house that's burning down to save someone's life? That's just unrealistic, even for the egotistical kind of firemen that're out there. Overall, doesn't look too bad.
I bet no modern 3d engine can built graphics like it was made in the 90's when actual video footage was used for game play. I mean you can't built graphics further than reality i wish this technique was used i some today's games as well i bet more perfect sync would be applied and it would be more interesting playing stalker, half life, killing floor... with actual footage.

@FooNado The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe used the movie for parts of cutscenes. The problem was that when there was no footage from the movie, the characters would all of the sudden look cgi.

One disc is the Sega CD game, the other disc is the Sega CD-32X game. In order to stop from people giving the second disc away they made it so you have to swap the discs in order to play the Sega CD-32X.
The cheesy D-movie music and opening is awesome. I used to love this game, but only now do I realize that you communicate with the other firefighters by telepathy.
By the way, did the writers from Talladega Nights get "shake and bake" from the chief in this game?
