we have a cat that hates her tummy touched too.Our vet said sometimes they have sensitive spots. If you watch the Lily she started hitting her tail on the ground kinda hard that is a sign she is gonna bite or get mad. Maybe you can teach Cassidy that sign.

tell her not to worry about what happend, that happends a lot with cats and trust me ive grown up several cats in my life, the cat just told her to back off, here is a tip never pet a cat on its belly or get to close to her face :) hope your daughter wont be scared of the cat after this

@TheGuitarFamily I know most cats don't like to be rubbed on their stomach or bottom feet, my cat definitely hates it and will bite mildly if you try. When they wag their tale vigorously it's the opposite of a dog, it means they're angry or agitated.

Poor Casidy...kitty-brats sometimes just need there space and want to be left alone.My cat is the same way.Sometimes it's best to just ignore them and then they will seek you out and enjoy your company better.My grandkids still haven't figured this out, but eventually they will.My cat does the same thing to them. Just be patient when it comes to dealing with cats....I hope she didn't scratch you!
