I think the longest I've ever walked was about 10km around a big lake in a place here called Glendalough. It was really tough because half of it was uphill but it was definitely worth it: the view up there was amazing! Oh, and I got to see some wild deer!
is glendalough near/in dublin becoz for some reason it sounds very familiar to me. i have a few friends around dublin that i have visited in the past and maybe i have even been there too.
@nothingfunnyleft Yeah pretty close. It's just south of it, in the very next county. You'd know if you've been there, it's famous for these really old monastery buildings, including a round tower. Not to mention the two lakes in the middle!
That is some beautiful scenery. Its always good to slow down and look at the world around us. Maybe next time you should bike. Also, I hope you gave mom a nice foot rub after.
I don't know what that is in miles, but it looks far to me. And it didn't look like Mum had on very good walking shoes. Methinks she was hurting the next day! :)
thanx mate. it took us about 2 hrs to walk that far but the kids enjoyed it the most as they got a ride there in the stroller and didnt have to walk at all ! :-P
The view is magnificent, just Lovely! Your country is gorgeous! Yes 5 miles is QUITE the walk! I hope you got a ride home!!! Lovely video and time of day! = )
At least it seems pretty flat there. I'm up in the mountains so every trip on foot has one easy part usually and one that makes you want to never walk again.
thats hard. the bit i didnt show right at the end as it was too dark already was the last 5 metres actually into the village is all up hill and it was HAAAAAAAAARRRRD after 2 hrs !
It took me about 5 hours to walk 15 miles, and I didn't like it. People must have had more hours in a day way back when. It's not too bad if you jog maybe, but it's really hard to get started. Oh well, if you guys start jogging, I'll use it for inspiration to go to the refigerator, I mean I'll start too. Great view of the hills!
haha that was a good idea! I know how it feels when you get tired of it though! :P what a beautiful view!
