you are really lucky. i would have cried too. somebody lent me a signed copy of poa from when they met her right when poa came out and i started shaking and tearing up. i still have the book becuase the lady who lent it to me was not a harry potter fan, she just went to a book signing becuase she realized jo was becomeing famous.

I have made a vow that in my life time I will actually meet Jo and jealous that you have already. When I was in London for Sectus, my friends and I kept talking about how wonderful it was to be in the same city with her and how lucky we where because that is probably the closest most of us are going to ever be to her. Congratulations on meeting Jo! I met her waaay back in the day around the time PoA came out and she went on a book signing tour. I was only eight, but I still remember how in awe I was. I can only imagine how profound this must have been for you, being older. I actually got a little teary-eyed from this video. Jo Rowling has touched so many people's lives, and I only wish I could tell her how grateful I am for sharing her world with us.

After listning to this last night I had a dream I met her and it was how I imangined it when you met her and I gave her a letter and she read it but she forgot to sign my book so I had to go back and see her again and she was having a convosation with me! It was so cool but only a dream you are so LUCKY amd you totally disereved to meet her!
p.s (I had to lye across my desk to listen the speakers coz this video was so quiet!)

And, I agree about the kids getting to see her and we don't. Not that I'm saying they don't deserve to...But like...Bleh. Some of them probably hate HP anyway, and yet THEY get to hear her read the book, get a copy, have it signed, and MEET her?! The world is evil.

this story shakes me. i'm literally about to cry. when i saw Jo in the flesh, i started crying.
writing a letter sounds good. i started writing one. aaand i have taken three months to write it. it's going to be like a frikkin novel by the time i send it.
she is so much more beautiful in public, agreed. .. well, she's pretty in pictures.. and yeah- you get what i'm saying.

I'm so glad you got to meet her. I started crying when I read the dedication to us super fans, for sticking with Harry to the end. I wish she would do another event like Harry, Carrie, and Garp. I'm afraid that if I met her I would just bawl and be unable to form a sentence.

It's like how do you comprehend meeting and getting your book signed by the mind that created harry potter. Instead of going to "see" her (yes see with all the former video air quotes) you got to see her (without the air quotes). That is pretty sweet.

Oh Bre! Congratulations--you deserved this so much. You've made me start crying because I know that's what I'm going to be like on Friday evening. How the hell am I going to be able to get up in front of all 2000 people and ask my question? I cried 7 times last August when I saw her and now I get to talk to her and meet her and just...wow.

You know what's odd - why when she signed mine did it end up being a squiggle, but when she signs yours you can actually make out her name, though she had signed about 1000 before she signed mine.
