sure, you can now handle the weight, but what about the braking? you'd have to modify the brakes of whatever you're towing to work with the brakes of what you're towing with. and somehow i don't see a chrysler 300 towing a 40ft RV down the road...
not sure if it's good or bad...? but i would like to at least try one and THEN decide. assuming i measured accurately...? my tongue weight is pushing 1500lbs.
i'm from europe, and i cannot understand why you built trailers that are way to heavy at the tongue? In europe all trailers have the wheels in the middle, so that the weight is almost ballanced, because we leave a weight up to 75kg at the tongue so you hit the breaks, the trailer gives a little bit downforce at rear wheels of the car.
ok, where do I GET one of these or something like it?!?
I'm pulling a 20' car-hauler with an old 30' Winnebago. Even with a heavy-duty custom frame-reinforced trailer hitch, I'm torquing the frame with all the weight I've got to pack in the trailer.
DID ANYONE GO INTO PRODUCTION WITH THIS OR SOMETHING LIKE IT?!?! LeatherMystics - dot com
This device supports most of the tongue weight of any trailer one may pull. It makes your truck feel as if its not towing anything at all. The benefits are incredible and includes a huge increase in stopping power since the trailer cannot push down on the tow vehicle which removes weight from the front axle in a fast/panic stop.
If you cant attach the trailer to the truck then whats the point? Get a heavier hitch or heavier truck. Or gooseneck if you can. Just because you can pull a heavy trailer doesn't mean you can stop it. Its not a bad concept, I just don`t know if its that safe or practical. Especially for $3K... Just my opinion....
Hey do you know of any laws limiting the number of trailers you can hook up to one another b/c about 2 years ago I saw a 2nd gen. Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up towing a trailer with 5 other trailers hooked up to it.The trailers weren't all that big (each the size trailer Lawn Service companies typically tow)but even still the thing looked like a freaking train & illegal to me.Maybe if the guy had hitch hogs in between each trailer (very expensive)it'd be legal but I don't really know. What do you think?
@TheHitchHog ya that's what I figured. The guy behind the wheel was obviously not the smartest guy on the planet because he was trying to cross a four lane highway with a 55 mph speed limit and dense traffic. By some miracle he made it across without getting hit.
@PIchillin456 Well, this probably won't help cuz my dad is none too bright either, but when I was a kid I was told we could only haul two wagons on a state, or I even think county, road, but more than that on a regular road. I dunno if that was true, I just went to the online state laws and they are none to clear either as their restrictions all apply to a "highway", unless every single paved road qualifies, which they might.
I know we didn't have lights, brakes, or safety chains either.
Yes this would work incredibly well to allow a vehicle such as a caddy, 300 Chrysler or crown vic to be able to tow a nicely sized rv. A single tire version could be used on smaller compact and mid size vehicles.
Where can i buy one of these?

I dont believe one can even buy a permit to tow more than 3 trailers.

@PIchillin456 lol, too bad you couldnt have video'd that! The first cop who saw that would have thought he'd seen a circus train. lol

Is this like adding an axle to the hitch so you can pull a bigger trailer with a smaller car ?
