u are not hindu if you eat meat...period. i live in america and i don't eat meat and was raised as a brahmin, one of the highest castes in india. there is a reason why the lower people in the caste ate meat and not the higher...its disgusting. Gutting an animal for its flesh that is similar to a humans is nasty. Surprisingly, I live in Atlanta, where barbeque's are common and enjoyed by americans.

@fuscian dude maybe like a third of hindus are actual vegetarians. many are non-veg these days but those who are do not eat meat on a day-to-day basis. maybe on the weekends or at a restaurant or we might cook it at home. we eat evrything except beef but we consume cow products-milk,yogurt,ice cream, butter, ghee(clarified butter) and other dairy products. fish is also eaten. fish is no veg yaar.
