Being a pedophile (meaning, that having attraction to children) is not the same as actually molesting a child. Sure, kids shouldn't be fucked, their bodies are not ready for that, it can damage them, so people doing it should be locked up. But there are pedophiles, who understand the harmfulness of it, and don't want to hurt children, so they go to psychological treatments to change themselves. A person's mental state doesn't mean, that they will do what that mental state suggests them.
