...How the hell does Gallant know that the finger came from a blonde? Does it have beautiful blond hairs on its knuckles? For that matter, couldn't he have cut a finger off one of the rogue mages and been done with it?

Now the trick is finding your way out. Here I thought you were looking for a person rather than a finger of a person. How strange, to spend days lost in a dungeon looking for some lady's finger. Gallant just takes gallantry too far!
One might say this dungeon gave you the Finger.
