Luck? He went so far as to trick dual probes through the minerals and send a couple zealots up the front to find out what yellow was doing and when he did he made the correct counter.... I agree with ianuus, what's lucky about it?

You mean the DTs killing his drones at the end? If so then that didn't matter at all nor was it luck in any sense. The DTs finished the game but yellow lost when his hydras failed their attack as at that point he was so far behind there was little to no way to come back. No units being at the base was a given because Yellow spent every cent on units to attack with (the whole point of the built), obviously he wouldn't have anything in his base to stop a counter.

And it's not like the fact that it was a DT ment much. It could have been a couple Zealots and the rezult would have been exactly the same. It wasn't lack of detection that killed him it was the fact that he couldn't defend at all.

He still could have done something, if he saw anything going towards his base he could have built sunkens, or even run his drones anywhere else.

The gateway was in an off location so he wouldn't have seen anything until they were on his creep which means no sunkens (not that he had any money for them given his build) and running his drones away would have been fine for Anytime because Yellow didn't have a reserve of resources to fall back on. The game was over when the front door break failed anyway... He had all of maybe a dozen drones at the end before the DT got there. He wasn't comming back, period.

How many resources did Yellow have in reserve? It's not a replay, you can't see his mineral count but he was still collecting, he had two bases.

But the fact that the guy didn't care to put any overlords in his base or notice his drones were being killed one by one, Anytime had luck on his side. A few hydralisks coming back to his base would have done something.

I'm sure Yellow knows how to defend against One gateway and could have come back! (exclamation mark)

Yellow needed to break through and finish Anytime off with just his hydras. If he went back, he would've probably been able to defend against the DTs but he would be horrendously behind.

He had better odds just throwing all of his hydras at Anytime and hope that Anytime breaks rather than try to come back from being horribly behind.

Yes, he had two bases with about a dozen drones between them, that right there should give you an idea on how hard Yellow was banking on his strat to win.

And as you yourself said, Yellow is indeed a good enough player to hold off a gateway and make a comeback. The fact that he didn't, didn't even try, should also give you an idea of what he, the actual pro player, saw his chances as being.

The proxy was indeed brilliant. It's ironic that Anytime was able to do it as a consequence of Yellow's scout-denying (he had to send two probes because of the lings)... ;)

I have a mac too and unfortunately, there is no antihack for mac. You can still join games, though, it's just that some people might not want to play unless you have antihack and latency changer.

I play with a mac on ICCUP but most of the maps don't work. I can only really play Destination. You should be able to join games, but most people will boot you. I just Create games myself and that solves most of the problems. You should be able to see the join list. It didn't work for me a few months ago but it was working as of two weeks ago.

Usually that's because you are using a Router, and you need to "open the ports" on the Router. If it's telling people the Latency is too high to join, this is usually the problem. SC requires Port 6112 for TCP and UDP to be open, and this is not the default on the Airport Extreme, for example. Search for Port Forward on google to see how to open the ports on your specific router (it may be a bit outdated but the concept is the same). It's pretty easy to do. Hope this helps.

More than just destination works for me. I use bootcamp to actually play on iccup, but when not on iccup playing from the iccup map pack (a few months old, not the newest one), I am able to play around 1/2 of the maps, including medusa, colosseum, andromeda, destination, bluestorm, and a few others.
