  • I want this video on my NEO unit.

  • This video went viral on Washington D.C.

  • could have told us to do this crap the first time

  • awesome awesome that was is it

  • Your tutorials are great, but WHY THE HELL didn't you do this the first vid, everything is screwed up now. And i get pissed with UDK when things are just slightly annoying.

  • Great tutorials, but dude, seriously?! Could you not have told this at the very start, have to redo everything now..

  • After I add Collison, and go through the material fixes, UDK will no longer allow me to Scale the trees I do.

It only allows me to scale those w/o collision - any fix for this? or Will I need to do collisions manually in the UDK?

  • And u tell me this now?!

  • Hi could you help me with interactive foliage?

Oh, and about collision, can I make some branches fall when hit?

    thanks for those tutorials raven67854

  • I got a question can you make a Touturial how to get Speed Tree because I didn´t found any place in the Interent where i can download it?

  • @Kniknok1 this one is easy, go to udk site and download the software, it comes with it.

  • im wondering if i can create like grass in SpeedTree or if there is an other program to do that

  • Lol, "cannot do a thing", that was nice. Very interesting.

  • thanks, this viedoes has helped me alot , but how do i add enemies?

  • Hey Raven, great vids but i seem to be doing something wrong. Here is what i have been doing:

Generated Collision primitives in the SpeedTree Modeller and saved it

    Re-compiled in the Compiler

Deleted the original tree in the UDK Package

imported the new SRT file into the package

    re-applied all the materials

changed the lighting settings and rebuilt

but i can still walk through the tree, what am i doing wrong or what am i not doing??

  • @lonelysquall I'm having the same problem.

  • @Jestersheepy

    Fixed it now

I did it by manually adding the collision primitives

broke all connections to the tree in UDK and then deleted it, saved the package and then shut off UDK

I restarted UDK, opened the package and then imported the new compiled tree into the package. It worked after that. I dont think it was properly replacing the original tree.

  • Tom cruise is that you!?

  • @admuh Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaha

  • woooooooooooooooo, done and dusted. niiiiiiiiice one dude :0)

  • i have one problem. When i click unlit, the leaves are in color. But when i click lit the leaves are just black. I put lights beside them and they are still black!

  • Great tutorial but I'm encountering an issue. In the editor I see the tree, but in game all I see is the shadow of the tree.

  • Save the tree.

  • burn the tree

  • can you do a video on character modeling?

  • No because I can't model :).

  • @raven67854 He is a level artist :D not modeler!

  • No problem

  • No problem

  • Need to right click and save the asset before you close unreal. This will prompt you to pick a location for the package.

  • wow! is there a way to do this in ut2004?

  • No Sorry

  • you ever tried fracture on those trees? :)

  • Nope sure haven't

  • So you never lost the initialization on Speedtree? Even with the beta2 it still doesnt open.

  • Huh odd no SpeedTree Still opens just fine for me.

  • Raven I just need to say THANK YOU for those amazing videos. Perfect, continue with this amazing videos ;)

  • Your welcome :D
