that is one amazing solo....I think it's Bob Stewart on tuba , I see John Faddis and Lew Soloff on trumpets but don't recognise the trombone....what a great band this was
'Priestess' by Billy Harper, with the wonderful George Adams on tenor; and is that Howard Johnson on tuba about a minute into the clip? I love the way Evans' band at this time mixes big band modern jazz with touches of a fusion influence, such as the growling keyboards that bolster the bass end of things here.

I saw the Gil Evans Orchestra at the Village Vanguard in NYC - same year, summer of 1976. Pretty amazing!
