English and Springer Spaniel's look nearly alike their muzzles are longer and some of them have long tails. My Mother raised AKC champion American Cocker's and the difference is that they have a shorter muzzle and docked tail (stubby) and a smaller body. The colors vary from White Chocolate (Like Oprah's) Golden,Black, and Party (Brown & White) .

@ambertravis101410 Honey's an American Cocker. English Cockers are typically bigger. If you see them side by side, you'd be able to tell the difference. If your Cocker looks like Honey, my bet is she's an American Cocker.

I taught Honey to "sing" as a puppy, basically by "singing" to her. She's so used to hearing my "singing" that I'm the only one who can get her to sing. Now she taught her Aussie friend in my videos to sing too, but they sing totally different! I'm going to post Honey's singing lession video soon.

Thank you! I taught Honey to sing when she was a puppy by saying "Honey sing" followed by me "howling/singing." Now she just "sings" without me howling. LOL!

I started teaching Honey to sing when she was a little puppy by saying "sing Honey" and then howling after that. I did that over and over. Once one of your cockers catches on, the other one will soon follow!

My family has a 10 year old American cocker, named Ausin. He wil "sing" sometimes, but usually only when we are going inside. He will run up to the door all excited, turn around, stretch, and "sing." I laugh everytime. Love my dog.

My dog, Taffy looks so much like Honey. She hasn't started singing yet (she's about 9 months old), but she does make funny noises when play-fighting with our other dogs. We used to have two Cocker Spaniel brothers (Salt and Pepper) who would go crazy when we'd put Harry Belafonte singing "Day-O" on the record player (this was some 45 years ago!). They would sing just like Harry! I love all dogs, but Cockers are definitely my favorites! (P.S. Love your book too!)
