  • Sounds more like an ATYCLB or even maybe a Joshua Tree session more than an Achtung Baby one.

  • one of the best jam sets. really shows you why they;re incredible muscians.i picked this up at a record show in chicago right after it was stolen off a train in Berlin...apparently.

  • "VERSE!"

hahaa funny, but yea thats what demos r i suppose

btw i can most deff hera the "Until the end of the world" influence

  • the beginning sounds like the Globe Trekker theme :)

  • Starting at 4:56 for a few seconds is awesome!

  • You can hear touches of Trying To Throw Your Arms Around The World and Where Did It All Go Wrong as well in this

  • I have this three dvd set. Great to hear how they make their songs!

  • @disgruntledgoatiam I meant to say 3 cd set.

  • thanks for posting this! nice to hear early portion of the creative process.

  • There's another version of Take You Down from the Salome outtakes that would eventually become Ultraviolet(Light My Way) very cool to hear how the songs evolved.

  • Two songs were released from this jam session; Until the end of the world and Lady with the spinning head (b-side).

  • Thanks a lot for the video. I have always been curios to know how their songwriting process will sound like. Very good insight indeed:)

  • Edge is working here on what eventually won`t make it on Achtung Baby. Listen carefully from 5:14 to 5:29. He tryies to have everyone focus on the original idea. You can hear Edge is annoyed by Adam Clayton who is tryies to play futures "Until The End Of The World" bass part.

  • Not sure I would ever put "Edge" and "is annoyed" in the same sentence.

  • @tagjim not sure but i think it's bono there, he used to give directives in every song, despite Edge is the genius in sound an playing matters, it was bono who decided how a song would sound.

  • @lucaswork

    That's bono not edge.

  • @BaronM

    Maybe I'm wrong.

  • @BaronM

    I'm not sure now.

  • i didn't think they used windmill lane after the 80s

  • think it was The Factory.

  • @jpjames1

Through at least All That you can't leave behind, they go always went back to windmill lane to finish their records.

  • This isn't actually Take You Down, this one is Chances Away.

  • True, but I re-named all the tracks according to what they eventually became. Mostly cos I'm a giant U2 nerd. Technically this should be "Until The End Of The World".

  • That's fair enough, the lyrics keep saying 'I can Take You Down' anyway, so it may aswell be lol.

  • Interesting.

  • Cool , we can hear "Until The End Of The World" riff and if you listen carfully you can hear some drum of "One" (The tom floor lick)...
