Lots of materials. A wood and wire armature, then main stem covered with Super Sculpty. Stems made from Latex. Leaves made from fabric with black wrap foil. Eyes are made from dried flower pods with milliput and wooden ball. Mouth is made from wire and foam. Rest is photography and video footage (background).
I have alot of trouble with eyes. I just cut magnets for the cornea and the pupil and move them with a push pin. It's good for a cartoon look, but the problem of losing a pupil still exists.
well, you are probably right, I should take it down, it is much better with the sound obviously. However, I don't agree that it is 'utterly useless', I thought that the puppet and its expressions would be interesting to watch.
Hey I do audio production and have done sound for stop-motion animation before. If you ever need some done (like this one) I'd be happy to do it for you for free just for the experience and opportunity. Great for my portfolio too and would be fun. :)
Hi, thank you for all your comments, glad you like my work. I used my original high resolution animation (used animation compression), took this into QuickTime, exported out using Movie to iPod (.M4v). You can use other settings like H264 and MPEG 4 and other software to convert formats. I also used a digital camera (better than video), medium\large setting image quality to do the stop motion. Hope this helps.
Hi many thanks for comment. Because of copyright issues I felt that I couldn't include sound. I did this for my lip sync project and used the sound and some music from the Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho (1998 version).
He says "They're probably watching me. Well, let them. Let them see what kind of a person I am. I'm not even gonna swat that fly. I hope they are watching. They'll see. They'll see and they'll know and they'll say, 'Why, she wouldn't even harm a fly.'
This is a good experience so most dislikers can shut thier "traps"!
