It is a bit rushed but the guitar arrangement on this video is absolutely amazing! How can a guitar sound make a grown man get choked up? If I listen to Wide Swing Tremolo in its entirety...bring out the hankies..

Just out of curiosity, how can there be SUCH a discrepancy between Wilco and Son Volt on YouTube. Most Wilco page hit numbers are in the MILLIONS, while Jay's are in the 1000,s, if that... I don't quite get it -- my f****** band has more hits... What is it that's going on here in this universe?

I know what you mean man. Nothing against Wilco but Jay should be getting more recognition for his music. I guess the world prefers Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. I just don't get it.

I agree,this is a great song with clever lyrics,left a slide is different class though,i was emotionally moved first time i listened to it.

What a great freakin' song! One of my very favorites. Jay Farrar is an extraordinary song writer.
Wish there were a few vids here of "Left A Slide". I love the Austin City Limits version, but a couple different versions would be waaaaay cool.
