What other gay-themed novels did you find superficial? Just curious. I, too, am a huge fan of Sarah Waters. And gay authors.

I just finished this. It was a brilliant piece of work. I've read all of Sarah's work and I have to say, she's become one of my favourite authors. Have you read any of her other stories?

any of them, they are all great! But Affinity is my favorite, although the ending is not happy.
