hey greg i hope you do more dbr tuning vids , im saving up for my stick now i am torn between baritone melody and dbr , im a bass player but i do like what you said about full blown 2 part play. bass does speak to me and i like the idea of having those 2 bass tunings on the same neck in stereo of course! woot!
Thanks for the kind comments. It's a wenge Ten String Grand in the Dual Bass Reciprocal tuning, with the PASV-4 pickup. I don't use any MIDI sound sources, that effects patch has a "slow gear" effect at the beginning. Thanks again for checking it out.
@gregplaysthestick Very good stuff. Question. I'm wanting to learn the Chapman Stick in the near future. What would you recommend as the best stick and configuration to start out with and learn on? Thanks in advance.
ALmost all the players I know started out on a 10-string. It's the simplest rrangement that allows full-blown two-part play. My favorite tuning is the Baritone Melody tuning. Thanks for the kind comment.
Watching the Master at work.... Great playing, feeling, articulation....

Is that a wooden or composite 10-string grand? Very tasty bass sound - is there some midi in there too (around 6.43)?
