    Oh well, probably just me.

This is my favorite RHCP song.. And awesome vid <3

  • xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxdddddddddd+++++++++++

  • great song, great video

  • hehe Hans Otto xD

  • No, Fru played guitar on this song, but he wasnt in the video since he quit the band in 92.

  • this is my favorite song by the chilis

  • same

  • rhcp at its best! how are they now???

  • They sorta split up... or are atleast taking a break for 2-3 years =(

  • 0:00 thru 4:55 is great

  • 3:24 onwards with the chimp is adorable :]

  • this makes me want a chimp

  • This is a B-side from blood sugar sex magik. 1991. you can see them recording it in the dvd Funky Monks. Its a shame john isnt in the clip, cos I think this is one of the best chilli clips around. It really captures "them" with the whole circus vibe.

  • someone can do a translation for "soul to squeeze" in spanish?

  • Alma que estrujar.

  • Gracias ^^

  • this song was done in 91, john left in 92 and was replaced by navarro until 97.

  • i love rap but man when I hear songs like this one it helps me to understand why rock is and always will be the best type of music, its so emotional and comforting you feel it in your heart

  • this is my history

  • Absolute awesomeness right here.

  • this is the shit

  • you know theres nothing like coming home after a long day at school and just relaxing to the rhcp, its just so soothing

  • 1000

  • The funny part of this song, is what he sing in clip 1:40-1:50! On danish is sound like he sing "Wen i fund my "tissemand" :D

Tissemand: mean the same thing as dick! :P

  • John Frusciante played the guitar for the song, but he left the band before the video was made. And yes, the cigar guy is Chris Farley.

  • He left in the early nineties around '92 and he left for three years and they had to find a temporary guitarist. I forgot who it was but read Scar Tissue by Anthony Keetis. It probably isn't for little kids. But is that Chris Farley driving smoking the cigar?

  • thats not how u spells anthonys last name and the guitarist was arik marshall i think

  • Anthony Keidis.

  • did john frusciante played the guitar for this song??? because he doesnt appear in this videoclip..

  • no i think its after he left in 92, i could be wrong on that.

  • actually this song was recorded for bssm album in 1991 but for some reason didnt make the album however in 1993 this song appeared on coneheads movie and they make a video for it so u can see frusciante or other guitarist in this video. around this peroid navarro joined the band...

  • RHCP are so great. this song is so epic, just like the rest of their music. these guys will never get old

  • 1000

  • me too. i like that its slow and relaxing.

  • This song is from 1993. I have video proof of it. We were driving around town and my uncle was videotaping and this song came on the radio and it was September 1993.

  • lmao antho-dusa?

    lol

  • 10000000000000000000000

  • Me tooooooooooooooo! :D

  • best rhcp song

  • this is great song in fact all their songs are great which makes them a great band rhcp forever

  • .ılılıll|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|̲̅̅=̲̅̅|̲̅̅●̅ ̲̅|llılılı.

  • I didn't realize that was Chris Farley!

  • john is not in this video.

this was taped after he left the band.

  • very good songggggg

  • by far best song and best video...haha chris farley

  • wooo, I remember this, it's awsome

    rhcp!!

    "Lykos life 4 ever"

  • obama

  • 13500

  • Is that Chris Farley at 2:27?

  • it would surprise me if it weren't Chris Farley there. looks too much like him not to be.

  • Thats chris farley... but also notice that he appears for a longer period of time around 1:58. Hes playing the guy who RUNS the circus.

  • btw... this is my favorite RHCP video... I remember when it was on tv... when tv was cool.. darn.. *waves fist in air*

  • esta cancion merece estar en las primeras 10 de rcok por que para mi es la mejor de red hot

  • the guitar is awesome in the beginnin'

  • naw man he isn't wikipedia said they had a look alike but i not sure where the look-aliek is maybe its the guy putting the elgs behind his head who knos

  • it was made in 1993 and i think they prolly had a low budget at the time but idk cuz they made the video after blood sugar magik made them rlly famous, so its hard 2 say about teh budget

  • no. this was recorded in 1991 when they were working on BSSM. They left this song out of the album.

  • the song is from 1991..they recorded it while they were doing BSSM and the made the video about a year later..sometime after John left..cause if you didn't notice he's not in the video.

  • its from 94. dont know about the other shit, but it was from 94. keidis and flea wrote the lyrics on a cocktail napkin whilst drinking after the under the bridge hit, supossedly.....

you could be correct, though, too.

  • Who knows..but I do remember in Funky Monks the documentary..they were recording it but im' not sure when the video was made..93 or 94 maybe

  • best song!

  • It's strnage that most people think of slap n pop when they think of Flea when he has so many great lines where he barely uses it at all.

  • I think it's comical that this song was made exclusively for the coneheads movie. I think we can all agree on which of the 2 has stood the test of time...

  • did anyone notice the ring leader is Chris Farley

  • because he was in the movie

  • johns not in this music video!!

  • i kno really i'd luv to know where he is in here =P

  • ¨°º¤ø„¸R.H.C.P„ø¤º°¨copy and paste if

    ¸„ø¤º°¨ ROCKS!! ``°º¤ø„¸your a R.H.C.P Fan

    ¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¨°º¤ø

R.H.C.P is the best band ever

  • This song is...amazing.

everything from that bass line thru to anthony's vocals is perfect. One of their best songs right here - with a real meaning.

  • lo mejor del mundo red hot

  • I'm going to give you some of my good time!

  • one of their best

  • u no i was like omg when i seen the red hot chili peppers on the ending credits of the cone heads then i so had to c wat the full song sounds like its not bad at all anthonys hair waz as long as mine is now but my hair is so not straight :(

  • 13500

  • finally, someone has understood the real meaning of this song.

i am very proud of you.

    have a nice day :)

  • good.......................

  • i can't find john!!!! :(

  • You can find John in the soul of the song lol !!!!!

  • no, will ferrell looks like chad smith

  • man this song really makes you think of life...

  • RHCP

    ★★★★★

  • the drummer looks like will farel

  • One of my favorite songs. The bass line is really great.

  • wheres john in this clip

  • John had left the band right before this video was filmed. However, John does indeed play on the song. He would return to the band a few years later.

  • i know that ive read scar tissue i love the rhcp i just wanted to know why he wasnt in the vid

  • oh i understand now :)

i have read scar tissue and i love the rhcp too but i didnt no when this vid was exactly anyway :)

  • youre talking about arik marshall- a bad ass!..so was hilel and navarro!!..but you simply cant beat john!!..he saved rhcp from retirement!! cant wait for the next album!!

  • RHCP

    ★★★★★

  • rhchp lol :P

  • shit...sorry didn't mean to post it twice..lol

  • this song was recorded in 91...john didn't leave the band until 92 and thats when he was replaced by navarro until 97

  • this song was recorded in 91...john didn't leave the band until 92 when he was replaced by navarro, so it was john!

  • clasic!!!! love this song!!!!

  • 13500

  • this is kinda old so I think is Dave

  • who's the guitarist on this song ? John or Dave ? The sound make me think to john, but is anyone got the real answer ?

  • john plays it but he quit before the video so they got some one that looks like him for the vid

  • I think the dude in the video is Arik the Freak (sp?). He was the guy they had for a minute after John quit. He debuted at the MTV awards this same year. I could be wrong though; they barely show the 'guitarist' and he's flailing like a baboon on meth!

  • This was recorded in the Blood Sugar Sex Magik sessions....so it was John.

  • yeahh :D

  • they are awsome, they will always make me feel good these guys, een in th most difficult times...love you red hot.......your best fan in greece!!:) love all red hot chili fans too..cu

  • i love the bass so much

    favorite song :]

  • Wow. Anthony is so hot. ♥

  • his long hair or the snakes??? LOL

  • So whats the deal, Frusciante wasnt in the band at this time alright, but at 3.58, the guy in the black top hat looks so much like him? anyone else see that ?

  • John was in when they made this song but not this video, they put a lookalike in this video I'm pretty sure.

  • what about when they didnt have john in the beginng hillel was there the only reason they have john is because hillel died and when they had hillel they were as good if not better than they are now so if i had to say anthony would be the backbone and flea because they are the only originals

  • no you're the fucking moron making fucking useless comments that don't make any fucking seance. Please. Shut up, fuck off. and cry me a river you fucking 12 year old dick.

@ this song, making me so peacefull (hehe nice to add while just saying all that fuck in 1 sentence eh. xD)

  • I dont Remember talking to you fucktard.

and my comment dont make sense?

"seanse"? And why dont u mind your own fucking business? before i head over there chop your fucking balls off.

  • your a clueless fag

  • I love this song, its a classic to me. This is one of their deeper songs and they could have done a more serious video. But true to the chili pepper's style they put a sense of humor to the video and it takes the edge away from the heavy lyrics about drug addiction, which is good because "deep" music videos seem so cheesy to me. If this song were on Blood Sugar Sex Magic, it would have made a fantastic album even stronger. A salute to Chris Farley as well.

  • The video was made because the song is part of the soundtrac of the motion picture "coneheads".

I like the contrast between the deepness of the song and the apparently lightness of the images...think about it...

...sometimes what it seems is not what it is...

  • Red Hot Chilli Peppers rocks! ;)

  • red hot chili peppers = awesome :)

  • Super Majestic!

  • 13500

  • beatiful

  • AGREED!!

  • Is that Chris Farley lol???

  • this is a cool song one of my favs =D

but i dont get the music vid...

  • This is Best RHCP Song!!

  • I wouldn't know. But Oasis did. And I meant that Oasis might have copied the intro for this song... Nothing else....

  • except bob dylan, stevie wonder jemi hendrix

  • 13500

  • 100%%

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers Recorded this back inMarch 1991 It wasn't realeased in the states till 1993 Oasis didn't do champagne supernova.

    till Released 13 May 1996

    So, Who Copied Who?

  • You're right, and of course that's what I meant - Oasis copied Red hot, not the other way around.

  • ya you're an idiot

  • The intro of this song sounds very much like Oasis' champagne supernova.. :)

  • Coneheads was a great movie still is..a classic!!!

  • always been my fave RHCP song.

    luv it!!!

  • Im a major RHCP fan and for some reason this has always been my favorite song. Alot of feeling in it

  • is frusciante the guitarist for this one or was he solo making niandre lades and usually just a t-shirt during this

  • This was when John Frusciante temporarily left the band and Dave Navarro was playing during his absence. I am glad that John Frusciante is back, because I think that each one of them balance each other out in their music, and it helps to create how great their music really is.

  • I thought John came back to do Califonication with the band and this song was released after Californication. Also isn't this John in the video who's playing the guitar?

  • No one in this vid are playing the guitar.

  • John does not play guitar in the song, but for some reason he is in the music video. I think that maybe that is why you do not see any of the Red Hot Chili Peppers performing as musicians in the music video.

  • yea john wasnt in the band at this time..

  • No no. John plays guitar in the song, but he wasn't in the band at the time to record the video.

They recorded it for Blood Sugar Sex Magik, but for some odd reason, it didn't make it in. (THEY SHOULD HAVE REPLACED THEY'RE RED HOT WITH THIS.)

  • Never mind your right it was my mistake John does play guitar in this song as shown in Funky Monks. There is a man who sort of resembles John in this video in the part where a bunch of people are just sitting at a table from 3:47-3:59. That does make sense this would have been a better replacement for the song Theyre Red Hot, the song is was actually written a blues artist named Robert Johnson, and was said to be the only song on the album that was recorded outside of the mansion.
