Pyros are indeed easy, they can be played "effectively" without any real skill or practice, but truth is, in the higher skill (competitive 6v6 for e.g.) matches, the pyros are set aside except for a couple of scenarios that may make them useful (generally close quarters, maze-ish ambushing, badlands lobby being one of them). Pyros truly need a fix so the w+m1 bullshit doesn't work as it does right now, the dot needs some more looking into, but overall a class i dislike.

The same thing happened to me. An enemy scout stood right in front of me, head right in the scope, and took a shot with his scattergun. I was down to critical health, I took a panic shot and got him in the head.

Pyros are good spy-defenses as well as a good ambusher class with a good amount of DOT damage. Don't down it so easily.

when someone is actually trying to get a headshot as sniper or get a backstab as a spy or just basically trying any class there comes a pyro who runs around and just holds down the fire button hoping to ignite a spy.

to playpyro you have to move and left click.

Yeah but when your scoped you're vulnerable to backstabs it limits your field of vision. My advice is only charge for heavies or soldiers.

I remember that I had the most amazing headshot that I can recall, I was playing dustbowl and I was on the last capture zone and I was an attacker. An enemy spy had gone invisible when I shot and I killed him and a soldier in the background with a single bullet. I never saw it coming.
