Don't get me wrong, I love how John is capable to put such deep emotions in his songs. The 'screaming' in the higher parts is just awesome, it's an expression of deep emotions . It's also because his voice can't sing the higher notes singing clean; but hey, that's what John Nolan is and always will be, if you don't like it, why are you here anyway?

i think it's cool that he doesn't nail everything perfectly. it's much more raw and natural. besides it's awkward to actually sing the high notes while playing acoustically in this setting. then again, i don't think falsetto really does this song justice. the climax is the last chorus and those notes need to be loud. point is, john nolan is a genius. even if this paticular performance isn't flawless, the actual music he writes is.

haha, obviously none of you are singers. every singer has "off days". and there ARE some awkward notes in here. john has bad technique which could easily be fixed. but he is by no means a bad singer. basically his main problems are that his voice was probably tired at this point in their tour, he isn't quite pronouncing the words in the easiest way, and he has a dry throat (which is HORRIBLE.)... nothing a few voice lessons and throat notes couldn't fix.
