  • i was placed in a Psychiatric clinic for about two months...they gave me a lot of pills so i can pass all day sleeping & "resting from the outside world"" ..but guess what?? after a while the pills doesn't work anymore..and you start to see horrible things because you feel like you can't sleep but cannot be awake..i saw this movie 4 or 5 years after the Clinic discharged me. it makes me feel so sad and at same time it brings me back horrible pictures in my mind..

  • that last part made me shit mah pants

  • Awesome job! LOVE this song & local band! Great movie; sweet fusion!

  • On my top 3 favorite movies

  • Read "An Occurance at Owl Creek" by Ambrose Bierce. This movie is based on the same theme as the book. Good movie...good book.

  • I thought jacobs ladder was about a guy coming back from nam and he had the cancer from that agent orange crap ?

  • wooooooooooooow, that film looks veeerrryyyyyy faaammiilliiaaarrrr..... especially the chasing the guy start and the mad people in the car. whats it about again? awesom eediting by the way! and the song goes really well

  • wow!! this came out i n 1980.. n i just learned the solo on guitar... it's awesome....

  • This looks insane. Very nice job. What is up with the heads in the car and the guy in the club???

  • If you knew how much this movie scares me. I see it not as a movie about madness, about Vietnam or anything like that. I consider it as all the torments we go through life. By the way, Mackaulay Kulkin was so young then. Excelent video.

  • A great "Grinding" tune! ;- P

  • How many stars? I don't know...but thanks for the soul that comes to me over the ocean! yes, it's a great Job! Zabriski...chapeau!!

  • Great Job! 5 stars man!

  • Well, you certainly didn't shy away from anything with this one! As has been stated, it is an odd movie ... Made at that point in Alan Parker's career when he was overly self-conscious in his imagery (i.e. "Angel Heart"), but the basic premise is really quite good, a decent into madness.

Odd choice of music that really works quite well; Nice solid pacing, pushes just right in all the right places. I liked the way you handled the end pieces that you used. 5 stars!!

  • thank you very much Rick!..I am glad I pushed you in the right place!!!

  • @billysscreeningroom

Interesting mistake you made here. I tend to see some similarities between "Angel Heart" and "Jacob's Ladder" myself, as both are marvellous supernatural "twist" thrillers of about the same era. Still, Jacob's Ladder is maybe the best and most uncommercial work of Adrian Lyne (famous for 9 1/2 weeks, Fatal Attraction and... Flashdance (!) ). It's not by fellow brit director Alan Parker, who did Angel Heart, Fame, birdy etc.

  • Odd Movie...great job btw. 5 out of 5
