@PhantomRider79 Dont hate Jerry Only is still a misfit and he will continue to be one until he dies I have no problem with punk shows being like this but assaulting a security guard is going a bit to far i don't think they should have had security to begin with but i am pretty sure Jerry Only wanted the fans to enjoy the show and the music that is why they had security believe it or not my friend they are still going strong with Dez Cadena it is like the misfits and black flag playing together

I have plenty problems with security at punk shows, also the security here should have backed off, you'll notice there wasn't any problems going on, you would try to drag someone off cos they're just wanting to get on stage and jump? I've been to shows where security have been cool and let us be and every time nothing bad has ever happened but when security monitor too much, they start the fight.

I'd also like to add that those security people are hardly authority figures. They're just people who are hired by the club to do whatever. Had this been a smaller venue (the MIsfits still play those), you wouldn't see security people there. Also, the Misfits simply aren't what they once were. A lot of the bands from that era who are still around are the same way. They sell t-shirts, hats, and stickers, and play at slightly larger venues where they have security. That old punk era is long gone.

I know some people are going to criticize the Misfits, a band with members that were once part of the 80's hardcore scene for being protected by so-called "authority figures", but to fair, it isn't really much of a comparison between back then and now. Back then, none of those bands played at venues that had security like that. Also, I'm sure the shit Jerry has on stage is far more expensive than what any hardcore band had back in the day. That being said, you wouldn't want people up there.
