You can spawn in the Nether world in SMP by putting "hellworld = true" in the server properties file or use a bukkit plugin to make portals work. (like I do)

As for the water, they most likely spawned themselves 'hacked water' (meaning water that's not in a bucket) because that water doesn't dissolve in the Nether.

And for the squid, well, the spawn in water so yeah... I've done this myself and had squids spawn in the water I placed in SMP.

@Pandandamanama Yup, if you're hosting the server, go open up the file called "server.properties" With Text edit, or something like that, like notepad or whatever, and there should be an option saying "Spawn Monsters=true" Change "true" to "false" and save the document, and open up your server again. : )

@commanderphoenix1 they modded water into their invintory and placed it... as long as it is a block of water and not a bucket of water it works.
