I to hope Quartzsite can get it together again. I enjoy coming back year after year. Another big problem Quartzsite faces is the B.L.M.'s closing of the ATV trails. A large number of visitors come to Quartzsite to ride ATV's. The B.L.M intension is to close most of the trails to keep us off their land. That will cause many visitors to go elsewhere to do other pastimes. Quartzsite's only defense is to get the Govenor, state legislators and federal legislators to help.
I have been in Quartzsite, AZ for several years. Quartzsite is on the decline due to its own policies. The town raises taxes for the winter, have imposed new fees on business and vendors. The B.L.M. is shutting down desert A.T.V. riding. This is causing winter visitors to reconsider staying for the winter. I am considering other options for the first time in years.
@GOODFIDDLER I had been to Quartzsite this year and the sales tax is up to 11%. The town is in political turmoil and charges of corruption are being levied against some town officials. Surprisingly, I observed more RVers at the Plomosa Rd. BLM and Dome Rock BLM camping sites this year than last year.I hope they can get their acts together and avoid driving the RVers, businesses and vendors away.
