you guys are all idiots. i don't like kobe and i HATE the lakers but kobe is going to be remembered forever in the NBA for what he's done. he's amazing. watch him play. and you can't say his team is not talented. they're in the NBA guys. and lamar odem is a pretty fucking good center. the team isn't good in the NBA but Kobe still managed to pretty much carry his team to the playoffs.
The reason Kobe will never be one of the best ever is that he makes bad decisions in crucial moments. I'm no math major, but someone who claimed to know numbers posted on one of these sites that Kobe would have to average 50 pts per game for the next 4 seasons to match MJ's career numbers.
MJ's team sucked. Without him, no one would remember ANY of them. Steve Kerr would've been another Eric Piatkowski on an ordinary team. Scottie Pippen would not be considered one of the NBA's top 50 players of all time if he hadn't played alongside MJ. BTW MJ on this current Laker team instead of Kobe, and they probably LEADING Phoenix 2-1.

Kobe tries but they SUCK they dont even know the basic fundamentals to basketball. No they wouldn't how can you say that? I agree. You can't win 72 games and not be good. But you have to be lucky as well as good. What happened with MJ's team is his guys were around long enough to actualy become a TEAM. How long did MJ play with those guys? But also a problem is that Kobe operates too much as an individual on the court. Put him on the Phoenix Suns and take away Nash...Phoenix will not be as good. That's why Nash is better than Kobe.
