if you are having trouble with toads tool 64, (otherwise if you extend a rom and it doesnt work) make sure you are using the rom that is super mario 64 U.exe

What about outside the castle warps, what do you change them into? I'm trying to create a star outside of the castle, but I don't have any idea on how to change the warps so that Mario can end up inside the castle. Help?

The easiest way to do this is to click "Warp Destinations," select "Castle Grounds 1-30", change it to "Inside Castle 1-32," and change the Warp ID to 240. Go to Dire, Dire Docks (area 2), click "Warp Destinations", click "Castle Grounds 1-30 "and change it to "Castle Grounds 1-20." This should allow you to place stars without crashing the game. Try to use Star Boxes and red coin stars instead of normal stars to stop a glitch that warps the player to the star to the star as he leaves the castle.
