I own the HD flip camera purchased NEW last year for Christmas...It's works great except the batteries no longer hold a charge for more than 5 minutes after using it for about a year.

I paid for the optional charger, an extra ($25.00) which was very lame...If you plug the camera into the unit the camera hangs below and has fallen out of the charger once, no damage to the camera but a very poor design unit.

My advice, buy some better recharging batteries and skip the charger flip offers.

You dont need to use the Flip software to edit, i use Sony Vegas Pro 9 and Magix Movie Maker Pro 15 and they both edit just fine, you can also use Windows Movie Maker Live, well just about any edit software that take MP4 files. I guess your upload is down to your ISP, it takes me around 3 mins to upload a 15 min video here in the UK

@schwinnprotocol If you mean Jump Cuts, Sadly no. But you can Edit and Compress them together with Flip Magic Movie or 3rd Party Video Editor/Compressor.
