try useing decent pellets ,, i wouldnt put those in a catapult,,, im surprised you have,nt done as much homework on your gun pellet combo as your vice rig,, and grabbed crap pellets as an after thought,,,, try crossman premier pellets, make me laugh !

you see, the problem with that theory is that this gun is by no means a peice of shit. for 1, it is a powerhouse for an airgun, and shoots 1 inch groups at 100 yards and further. i'd like to see you shoot 1 inch groups at 100 yards with a firearm, because i haven't seen it done. secondly, unlike a "real gun" as you call it, this gun, in most states of the USA, (the place of manufacturing and distribution mainly of this gun) you have no need for a license or paperwork to own this gun.

Yes, these guns are more than capable to hunt. some what of an overkill when compaired to other airguns. and depending on pellet shape, size and weight, it is possible to achieve 1200 fps in .22

Longer barrel, more power and nice quality.
Daystate is fancier and has more gizmo's like pressure-gauge, multi-shot magazine and nicer stock and balance but costs 3-4 times as much.
