does anyone know any of the 3 white kids names that hung the nooses and do they know what they are doing with their life now?? im sure some people from louisiana check out these videos
If the nooses are not a crime, (they are) this should be the case to make it just like a swats sticker. There is no other reason for a hangman's noose. The denial of that fact and the failure as a nation to deal with it is the elephant in the room. I don't know how to make a hangman knot, do you? If so why?
Actually, there was no hangman's knot. They were tied like lassos. They were certainly meant to represent nooses, but actual hangman's nooses they were not.
And Louisiana has just passed a law making any show of a noose that could be construed as "threatening" into a crime, but there was no such law at the time of this incident.
One way to avoid this in the future is the elephant in the room. We still don't know the name of those three pranksters, the troublemakers who started this mess. The truth and true punishment should start there.
What kind of future do African Americans want for their people? Racism is born out of fear and prejudice. It is not rational or logical behaviour. Cool Heads must prevail and emotion can easily blur people's judgement.
The bottom line is that Blacks and Whites need to talk and more importantly, to understand the other sides point of view. Yes, there are plenty of white people who are racists. However, there are also plenty of white people who are not.
Although the movement of African Americans to stand up for their rights is admirable and just, I still have questions. Did these six young black men actually assault the young white man? The sentence that they are supposed to get is excessive, but does that mean that they should not be punished at all? The young men who put up the nooses in the tree should also have a stiffer penalty.
they should not be tried because all of them have been out of school for over a week. remember the original starters of the entire incident was not tried, the grown men at the fair barn was not tried, and the grown man that produced the gun was not tried. this is not including other fights that went on in the school. based on this not guilty and they should go home with there parents.
The Jena 6 were already punished for what they did. Especially Mychal Bell who served 10 years in prison for his particpation in the beating. But it makes me sad that the justice system is so unequal in Jena (and other places).
